About the role

The Project Manager position within the Carpentry Group at DH Pace Company, Inc. in Olathe, KS, represents a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of carpentry projects. At DH Pace, a family-owned business celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026 and operating with over $1 billion in annual sales through more than 60 offices across the continental United States, this role is essential to maintaining the company's legacy of quality in commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security product distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair. You will own the full lifecycle of carpentry projects from initial coordination through final closeout, ensuring alignment with General Contractors and Contractors at every phase.

What you'll do

You will drive project success by overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of carpentry projects to ensure high-quality results delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed project schedules in collaboration with trade partners to keep every stakeholder on track. You will oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures closely, and prepare accurate financial reports for stakeholder review and informed decision-making. As the central liaison among project stakeholders, you will facilitate clear communication, address concerns promptly, and resolve issues efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. Ensuring all submittals are completed accurately and delivered on schedule will be a core duty, as will conducting rigorous quality assurance reviews to confirm that all work meets defined project specifications. You will maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and company standards, track project progress in real time, and adjust resources as necessary to mitigate delays and control costs. This role also involves supporting continuous improvement by identifying best practices and sharing insights across the Carpentry Group, ultimately upholding client expectations by delivering reliable, high-quality carpentry solutions on every engagement.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must bring two (2) or more years of Project Management experience in Construction or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of effectively managing budgets, timelines, and submittals while showcasing strong partnership skills when working with General Contractors and other key stakeholders. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational capabilities are essential in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Additionally, you must display the ability to adapt swiftly to changing project requirements and operational environments while committing to the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all project interactions. The ability to work independently yet contribute positively within a team framework is required, along with the capacity to handle detailed documentation and follow established procedures consistently.
