IT Engineering
Job description
About the role
The IT Engineering position within the Holding team in the Netherlands is centered on the on-site management and optimization of technology for the Rotterdam office. This role serves as the primary technical partner for Netherlands office management, ensuring that the technical environment consistently supports client meetings, internal events, and strategic initiatives. You will act as the operational link between global technology strategy and local execution, implementing systems that enable collaboration, stability, and security. The position requires ownership of the full service lifecycle, from initial hardware onboarding to final offboarding, while maintaining detailed standards that promote efficiency and reliability across the local workplace.
What you'll do
You will provide on-site IT support for the Rotterdam office four days per week, maintaining high availability and rapid response times for end users. This includes establishing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, standards, and best practices that govern all office IT support activities and service delivery. A core responsibility is ensuring flawless technical setup and ongoing support for all client meetings, internal events, and stakeholder presentations, minimizing technical risk during critical business moments.
You will manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning, access management, license coordination, and secure data handling to protect company and client information. You will oversee relationships with local vendors and service providers, evaluating performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness to ensure optimal outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.
In addition, you will coordinate and execute local IT projects, such as office upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and technology rollout initiatives, managing these efforts from initial planning through completion. You will monitor project progress, report on IT initiative status, and track operational performance metrics to inform continuous improvement and decision-making.
Analyzing existing tools, workflows, and processes will be part of your regular responsibilities, identifying opportunities for consolidation, optimization, and standardization that simplify user experience and reduce complexity. You will participate in global IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed scope, timeline, and budget parameters, while translating global IT strategies into effective local implementations that align with business objectives and user needs.
You will support the development, integration, and continuous improvement of systems in collaboration with the Global IT team and technology partners, maintaining alignment across locations. Active contribution to global IT meetings, documentation efforts, and knowledge-sharing sessions will promote cross-functional alignment and ensure that local insights inform broader technology decisions.
