What you'll do
Create and improve high-performing web content that drives acquisition, conversion, and stronger customer outcomes across the Zopa website.
Develop new pages and iteratively enhance existing ones, covering the homepage, key landing pages, help and support sections, and beyond in collaboration with product teams.
Apply strong editorial judgement to refine clarity, structure, and effectiveness of every page and content element touched during the improvement process.
Partner with SEO and GEO consultants to execute against a defined roadmap and translate search and performance insights into clear, effective web content.
Collaborate with the performance agency to build PPC landing pages optimised for converting paid traffic efficiently and at scale.
Translate complex search and PPC insights into plain-language content that supports user decision-making and aligns with business goals.
Work closely with product teams to ensure an effective and optimised web-to-app conversion experience that minimises friction and maximises value.
Audit and improve existing content, identifying what should be fixed, removed, or consolidated to enhance user experience and performance.
Introduce more structure and consistency to content management practices across the site, establishing standards that support long-term scalability.
Identify growth opportunities, propose content-led experiments, and partner with product and engineering teams to support implementation and measurement.
Ensure the brand promise is consistently reflected across every product surface, creating a joined-up experience for users at all touchpoints.
Push back constructively on briefs and propose better solutions through content strategy, creative approaches, or testing methodologies.
Manage freelance contributors where necessary, including briefing, editing, and quality assurance to maintain standards and efficiency.
Leverage tools such as GA4, Hotjar, and BI dashboards like Tableau to spot data-driven opportunities and act on them quickly.
Own the full content lifecycle from research and ideation through to publication, measurement, and optimisation for ongoing performance.
Act as a content partner to cross-functional teams, aligning content with product launches, campaigns, and evolving business priorities.
Requirements

Have a solid background as a strong writer and editor, with excellent command of language, clarity, and structure.

Hold a degree in English, Journalism, or a closely related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience and capability.
Have direct experience creating or managing website content focused on acquisition or conversion, preferably within e-commerce, marketplace, or app-led environments.
Understand SEO principles at a practical level, without requiring deep technical expertise, to enable effective collaboration with specialists.
Work effectively as a strong collaborator across diverse teams, including product marketing, product, engineering, design, and brand.
Comfortably challenge assumptions and refine briefs to improve outcomes, balancing creativity with measurable impact.
Operate confidently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and shifting requirements.
