We are hiring a Senior Picker to join our team in San Miguel. You will act as a key point of contact for new staff, guiding them through store procedures while managing complex operational tasks to ensure store efficiency. In this capacity, you will oversee daily warehouse activities and serve as a primary resource for resolving operational issues as they arise. You will be responsible for driving process improvements that enhance productivity and accuracy within the receiving and picking zones. What you'll do
- Mentor new hires on store tasks and operational workflows while ensuring they understand safety and quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, minimize product waste, and handle specific supplier receipts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Assist the Store Manager and Shift Supervisor with operational coordination and delegated tasks to meet daily targets.
- Monitor performance metrics related to delivery times and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
- Assemble and pack orders accurately to meet service standards and guarantee on-time dispatch.
- Receive, inspect, and organize stock while verifying expiration dates and quality, including cold chain requirements, to prevent losses.
- Label products and optimize rack organization to improve picking speed and streamline workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace that complies with health regulations and company policies.
- Propose cost-reduction strategies to the Store Manager based on data analysis and operational observations.
- Execute daily tasks independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong self-management skills.
- Manage inventory audits and facilitate the handover of orders to delivery riders to ensure a seamless logistics chain.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and align on inventory adjustments.
- Implement best practices for stock rotation to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
- Lead by example in adhering to all store procedures and promoting a culture of excellence among team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a stocker or replenisher in a fast-paced warehouse or retail environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management, FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods, and performance indicators to drive accuracy.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and peak hours, to support business demands.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrated responsibility, commitment, flexibility, and proactivity in handling diverse operational challenges.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and order fulfillment without errors.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions related to picking and packing.
- Basic proficiency in using digital tools and systems for inventory tracking and data entry.
