Finance Operations Analyst Ukraine

About the role

This position focuses on managing payment data and supporting accounting workflows for the Glovo team. You will handle routine tasks, verify transaction details, and assist in resolving payment inquiries from couriers. The role is centered on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payment-related information within the Delivery Hero Group environment. You will serve as a key support for Glovo's finance operations by organizing payment streams and maintaining reliable documentation. The position requires a methodical and precise approach to processing payment data. You will work directly with financial and operational stakeholders to uphold standards in payment processing. This role is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and operates on a full-time basis.

What you'll do

• Organize and prepare payment information for reconciliation and reporting purposes, ensuring alignment with Glovo's operational needs.
• Perform initial data validation and identify discrepancies in payment datasets to maintain high standards of accuracy.
• Assist with accounting preparation tasks related to payment processing, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Respond to payment-related questions from couriers and provide clear, professional guidance to resolve inquiries.
• Verify bank details, identification data, and payment figures to ensure completeness and correctness in all transactions.
• Maintain detailed records of payment transactions and support audit trails for finance reviews and internal controls.
• Monitor payment workflows and flag irregularities for further investigation by the finance team.
• Utilize Excel to structure, format, and analyze payment data for operational reporting and decision support.
• Collaborate with internal partners across Delivery Hero and Glovo to resolve payment issues and improve process clarity.
• Support the Glovo team in meeting payment deadlines and compliance requirements with strict adherence to policies.
• Update documentation for payment procedures to reflect current workflows, standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on payment operations, data quality, and process optimization.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel including filters, sorting, totals, and basic formulas to manage and interpret payment data efficiently.
• High attention to detail when verifying bank information, identification documents, and payment figures to prevent errors.
• Ability to perform repetitive daily tasks with consistency, reliability, and accuracy over extended periods.
• Dependability in meeting deadlines and strictly adhering to established processes and finance protocols.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and procedures, and to ask questions to clarify task expectations and requirements.
• Fluency in Ukrainian and professional proficiency in English to ensure clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capacity to handle payment data with confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions.
• Willingness to follow standardized procedures and actively support team objectives and operational priorities.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple payment-related activities and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Basic understanding of financial data structures and accounting principles relevant to payment operations.

Nice to have

• Background in payments, banking, accounting support, payroll, billing, or data entry roles within a finance environment.
• Advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and INDEX MATCH for complex data analysis and reporting.
• Experience using 1C, ERP software, accounting systems, or banking portals to support payment reconciliation and data management.
• Familiarity with finance operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment like Delivery Hero or similar platforms.
• Previous exposure to handling payment disputes, reconciliation processes, or courier-related financial inquiries.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to payment processing and data protection.
