About the role
Join our data department in Barcelona to gain hands-on experience alongside Analytics Engineers, Product Data Scientists, and Data Analysts. You will contribute to end-to-end projects that influence business strategy and product development through rigorous analysis and modeling. In this role, you will immerse yourself in the daily workflows of a fast-paced digital delivery ecosystem, learning how data drives decisions that impact thousands of customers and partners. You will own specific aspects of the data lifecycle, from raw ingestion to insight generation, ensuring that the information produced is accurate, timely, and actionable. This internship provides a structured environment where theoretical knowledge in STEM fields is applied to solve real-world business problems with measurable outcomes. You will be expected to ask critical questions about the data, challenge existing assumptions, and propose improvements that enhance the overall analytical maturity of the team.

What you'll do
- Extract and interpret data to provide actionable insights for various business units, transforming raw numbers into stories that guide strategic choices.
- Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to address data requirements, ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives.
- Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure high data quality and reliability, focusing on the robustness and efficiency of the underlying architecture.
- Execute hypothesis testing and exploratory analysis to refine business strategies, using statistical methods to validate assumptions and identify trends.
- Create visualizations and narratives to present findings to stakeholders, making complex data accessible to non-technical audiences.
- Monitor and optimize key operational and product metrics, establishing dashboards that track performance against defined goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements and success criteria for new initiatives and features.
- Support the implementation of data-driven experiments, managing the collection and analysis of results to inform future iterations.
- Document methodologies and processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility in analytical work.
- Contribute to the development of long-term data strategies that support scalability and innovation across the organization.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in the data space.
- Assist in the identification of data anomalies and inconsistencies, working with engineers to resolve issues promptly.
- Translate complex analytical results into clear recommendations that drive decision-making at various levels of the company.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, ensuring that data tasks are integrated into the delivery roadmap.
Requirements
- Current student in a STEM field, actively pursuing a degree in a discipline relevant to data, engineering, or analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar data-focused programming languages, demonstrating the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
- Strong foundation in computer science and data analytics, including knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and statistical principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in written and verbal formats, to collaborate with international teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovation, showing initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Availability for a full-time, 6-month commitment, aligning with the internship schedule and team expectations.
