About the role
You will execute in-person rider onboarding across the UKI region while maintaining direct responsibility for supply resilience in historically challenging locations. This role requires you to travel extensively to lead face-to-face sessions at regional Rider Onboarding Hubs and to manage the entire rider journey from application to activation. You will partner with Supply and Content teams to remove operational bottlenecks and enhance the rider experience on the ground. Your work will directly influence marketplace consistency by securing hyper-local rider supply and resolving deficits where demand is hard to meet. You will own the optimization of onboarding processes and act as a subject matter expert for the systems that support rider enablement. This position is a six-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of extension, and all related travel expenses will be covered. What you'll do
- Deliver in-person onboarding by traveling across the UKI to lead face-to-face rider onboarding sessions and support operations within regional Rider Onboarding Hubs.
- Secure hyper-local supply by targeting and resolving rider supply deficits in historically hard-to-source areas to maintain fleet consistency.
- Manage seasonal demand through the execution of targeted supply plans for peak and seasonal trading periods to stay ahead of customer and partner requirements.
- Optimise onboarding processes by partnering with the Supply and Rider Onboarding teams to iterate workflows, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and refine demand forecasting.
- Enhance the rider experience by collaborating with the Content & Engagement team to improve the rider value proposition and act as the subject matter expert for onboarding systems.
- Act as a field-based owner of logistical and scaling challenges that keep the marketplace fleet well-resourced across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
- Influence key stakeholders by demonstrating strong empathetic listening and communication skills with diverse internal teams and external rider applicants.
- Utilise a valid UKI driving licence and exhibit logistical flexibility to travel extensively, including early mornings and late evenings, to support critical field operations.
- Contribute to data-led growth strategies by translating on-the-ground insights into actionable improvements for the marketplace supply chain.
- Support urgent hiring initiatives by ensuring that interviewed candidates can ramp up quickly through efficient and consistent onboarding delivery.
- Monitor and report on supply gaps in real time, enabling rapid response to fluctuations in rider availability and demand patterns.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying friction points in the onboarding journey and testing small experiments to enhance conversion and retention.
- Act as a bridge between operations, supply, and engagement teams to align on priorities that improve rider coverage and satisfaction.
- Represent Deliveroo in local communities by maintaining a visible presence and building trust with potential riders during on-ground interactions.
- Maintain strict compliance with company policies and procedures while adapting quickly to changing field conditions and shifting operational priorities.
Requirements
- Possess operational capability gained from experience within a fast-paced environment such as technology, start-ups, food delivery, or direct experience as a Deliveroo Rider.
- Demonstrate autonomy and adaptability as a self-starter who can work independently, use your own initiative, and adjust quickly to evolving field conditions and shifting priorities.
- Exhibit strong stakeholder communication with empathetic listening and the ability to influence diverse internal teams and external rider applicants effectively.
- Hold a valid UKI driving licence and show willingness to travel extensively, including early mornings and late evenings, to support essential field operations.

Practical notes
