Associate Software Development Engineer
Job description
About the role
Join the Audit, Reporting, and Analytics team to build data-driven solutions for identity security. This role focuses on developing microservices and data systems that provide critical insights and intelligence across Delinea's platform. You will contribute to high-quality engineering practices and innovation within a collaborative team environment. The position requires a proactive mindset to translate complex requirements into resilient technical implementations. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that your solutions align with business objectives and security standards. This is an opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud-native development while supporting foundational identity security initiatives. Your work will directly influence how stakeholders understand and interact with security data across the organization.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design and develop scalable microservices using C# .NET to support identity security analytics and reporting workflows. Implement data ingestion pipelines that process diverse identity datasets and ensure reliable delivery to analytical systems. Build and maintain relational and NoSQL data stores, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, to support efficient query performance. Optimize database schemas, indexing strategies, and query execution plans to handle large volumes of security and audit data. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to model data structures that support business intelligence, compliance reporting, and real-time insights. Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar frameworks to enhance security analytics and anomaly detection. Develop and maintain infrastructure definitions using Terraform for Azure Cloud, ensuring that environments are consistent, repeatable, and secure. Configure and support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins to automate testing, deployment, and release management. Implement containerized solutions orchestrated by Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization. Apply cloud security best practices, identity management, and privileged access control measures to protect data and services across the platform.
Requirements
Possess at least 1 year of professional software engineering experience focused on building solutions with C# .NET and microservices architectures. Demonstrate hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining both relational and NoSQL databases such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Show a clear understanding of data modeling principles, query optimization techniques, and transactional consistency in distributed system environments. Have practical experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and managing containerized workloads in production-like settings. Exhibit familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and have used Terraform to provision and manage Azure Cloud resources. Bring practical experience integrating AI or machine learning systems, particularly using frameworks such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable tools. Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins in previous roles. Show a solid grasp of cloud security fundamentals, including identity management, authentication, and privileged access control mechanisms. Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
Some full-stack development experience with Python, UI technologies, and Angular frameworks to support end-to-end feature delivery. Experience conducting database performance tuning, implementing replication strategies, and managing high-availability database configurations. Familiarity with observability frameworks and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Grafana to track system health and performance metrics. Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and principles involved in a secure software development lifecycle. Prior experience in AI-enhanced security operations, automated policy enforcement, or handling data compliance and privacy requirements. Proven participation in Agile software development practices and continuous delivery methodologies to drive iterative and reliable releases.
