Join Delinea as a Senior Python Engineer within our Business Analysis, KPI, and alerting team, a critical component of the Delinea platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices that handle complex data aggregation, analytics, and alerting functionalities. Your work will directly contribute to providing powerful insights and business intelligence solutions that support the platform's core operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and efficient data-driven solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a cloud-native environment, leveraging modern technologies to enhance Delinea's identity and access management ecosystem. The role is based on-site in Mexico City, requiring a hybrid work schedule at our Reforma office, specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, and develop secure microservices that perform data aggregation, processing, and analytics tasks to support various platform functionalities.
• Build and optimize data models and data flows that facilitate real-time and post-aggregation analytics, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Design data warehouse and analytics architecture patterns suitable for large-scale data processing and business intelligence needs.
• Leverage a variety of data storage solutions, including document databases like Cosmos DB, relational databases such as Azure SQL, graph databases like Janus and ArangoDB, and big data platforms such as Azure Data Explorer.
• Use programming languages and tools including Python, Go, C#, Terraform, REST APIs, and queueing systems to orchestrate data workflows and microservice interactions.
• Develop complex data pipelines that orchestrate near real-time data processing and batch data aggregation, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
• Optimize data flow processes through SQL tuning, map/reduce strategies, and efficient queue processing to improve system throughput and reduce latency.
• Implement robust diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and monitoring tools to understand system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Maintain data integrity, security, and availability across all microservice communication channels and storage layers, adhering to best practices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure cloud resources.
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated, secure deployment processes utilizing Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define system roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.
• Conduct code reviews and design reviews to enforce best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to data workflows, microservices, and infrastructure.
• Document system designs, data models, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Engage in testing strategies, including automation and performance testing, to validate system robustness.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of platform scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Support compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, including ITAR if applicable.
• Assist in defining best practices for data security, privacy, and access control within the platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with business goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining microservices architectures, especially in cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in developing scalable, secure backend services.
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Go and C# is a plus.
• Hands-on experience working with Azure cloud services, including Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Explorer.
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform, for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Deep understanding of data flow orchestration, including near real-time processing and batch workflows.
• Expertise in SQL tuning, map/reduce strategies, and optimizing data pipelines for performance.
• Knowledge of observability, logging, telemetry, and system diagnostics to monitor and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance and security.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Understanding of compliance standards relevant to data security and privacy, including ITAR, is advantageous.
