About the role
This role leads the Shared Services team in Cloud Engineering, owning people, delivery, and technical direction for infrastructure on Azure and AWS. The manager balances reliability with platform improvements and acts as a technical escalation leader. Success depends on collaboration across development, product, and security teams.
Platform and DevOps engineers build the systems that run everything else. They manage infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reliability. Infrastructure standards for infrastructure-as-code, documentation, and operational readiness are defined for Azure and AWS to guide engineers in building reliable, scalable solutions.
Technical roadmaps for shared cloud infrastructure are owned and evolved, balancing reliability work against longer-term platform improvements to direct investment and team focus across Azure and AWS.
Sprint planning is run, cross-team dependencies are managed, and delivery is kept on track to ensure commitments are met for stakeholders.
Post-incident reviews are led, and follow-up items are resolved to reduce future risk and improve system resilience.
The main engineering contact for Development, Product, and Security teams is represented, turning requirements into platform priorities to ensure infrastructure evolves with business needs.
Architecture reviews and planning discussions with leadership are represented to align technical strategy with organizational goals.
Requirements
The posting states a bachelor's degree requirement. Experience of 8+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering is required, with at least 3 years managing engineers directly to ensure depth in both technical and people leadership.
Hands-on background with Azure and/or AWS is demonstrated, including Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals such as PIM, RBAC, and JIT privilege elevation to support secure, scalable deployments.
Experience implementing and running critical production SaaS platforms with high availability is shown, focusing on combinations of Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Redis to maintain resilient data and messaging platforms.
Exposure to or experience in FedRAMP-authorized environments aids in meeting strict security and compliance expectations.
Technical trade-offs are explained clearly to non-technical stakeholders to bridge engineering and business decisions.
Agile methodologies are applied with experience in Azure DevOps to support iterative planning and delivery.
Written and verbal communication is excellent to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Advanced RabbitMQ configurations, including clustering, federation, and message persistence, are familiar and can enhance reliability and throughput.
CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps and infrastructure module deployment workflows are experienced with to streamline releases and reduce manual errors.
