About the role
You will define and own the full delivery lifecycle for critical Oracle engagements, acting as the primary technical and consulting lead from discovery through implementation and optimization. You will partner closely with enterprise stakeholders to translate ambiguous business needs into coherent data and technology strategies that unlock measurable value. You will design, build, and validate solutions on Oracle HCM and ERP platforms while mentoring cross-functional team members and elevating the overall quality of delivery. You will leverage quantitative analysis in SQL and Python to surface patterns, test hypotheses, and drive decision-making aligned with client objectives. You will serve as the trusted advisor who ensures that every deliverable advances the client's long-term digital vision. You will own the architecture and testing of data flows that connect systems and enable scalable, secure, and compliant outcomes. You will contribute to building repeatable methodologies that allow the practice to scale while maintaining rigorous standards.

What you'll do
Design and develop custom data solutions for clients using a variety of software and programming tools, including Definian's Data Platform software, SQL, Python, and others.
Use quantitative methods to derive actionable insights, patterns, and outcomes from data to inform client decisions.
Take direct ownership of mission critical data requirements in a fast paced, collaborative work environment and ensure delivery against commitments.
Leverage technical expertise to provide guidance and direction to clients as you tackle complex problems and remove implementation barriers.
Identify and translate client business requirements into technical deliverables that are testable, documented, and aligned with project goals.
Deliver technology solutions to clients across industries, such as Manufacturing & Distribution, Education & Government, Consumer & Industrial Products, and Life Sciences & Healthcare.
Work with clients to understand their current data landscape and advise on strategy to align with their future-state data landscape while mitigating risks.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling client data, processes, and strategic initiatives.
Support proposal development by contributing technical content, effort estimates, and scoping clarity for prospective engagements.
Participate in internal quality assurance processes to ensure solutions meet Definian's standards for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Continuously refine your own expertise in Oracle HCM and ERP ecosystems, SQL, Python, and data transformation techniques through practice and feedback.
Champion the adoption of best practices for data modeling, integration patterns, and documentation across the project lifecycle.
Act as a client-facing technical authority who communicates progress, risks, and decisions with clarity and transparency.
Contribute to internal tools, playbooks, and methodologies that improve the efficiency and consistency of the Oracle practice.
Requirements
You must have at least 3 years of experience in a data or consulting role working on Oracle implementation projects preferred.
You must have at least 1 year of prior experience with Oracle HCM or Oracle ERP required.
You must have at least 1 year prior experience working directly with structured data, including analyzing, organizing, reporting, and performing transformations.
You must hold a BS or BA degree from an accredited institution.
You must have intermediate experience with a programming or scripting language to build reusable and maintainable solutions.
You must have intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VBA, to manipulate and present data effectively.
You must have intermediate knowledge of SQL to write efficient queries and support data operations.
