Key facts
What you'll do
- Assume complete responsibility for annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth and the development of a robust sales pipeline within the Indian market.
- Craft and implement a scalable sales strategy that effectively converts initial market interest into a sustainable business model.
- Directly engage with high-level executives, including CEOs and CTOs, at both large corporations and innovative tech startups.
- Build and manage a strong ecosystem of partners, emphasizing collaborations with systems integrators and opportunities for co-selling with hyperscalers.
- Function as both a leader and an active contributor by closing significant deals while simultaneously recruiting and guiding a local sales team.
- Establish formal sales operations, focusing on territory planning, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
- Act as the main advocate for the Indian market, relaying product feedback and localization needs to the global team to ensure alignment with local demands.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to meet market challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that resonate with the Indian audience and drive lead generation.
- Analyze sales data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and optimize performance across the sales organization.
Requirements
- A proven track record of successfully recruiting, training, and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Direct experience in launching new regions or high-growth go-to-market functions, demonstrating agility and strategic insight.
- Significant experience selling to the Indian enterprise sector, particularly with a focus on engaging technical buyers.
- Background in selling complex technical products, including developer tools, platforms, or APIs, showcasing an understanding of the technology landscape.
- Successful management of both direct enterprise sales and partner/systems-integrator channels, demonstrating versatility in sales approaches.
- Ability to operate as a hands-on contributor while simultaneously building and enhancing organizational infrastructure.
- A well-established professional network within the Indian startup ecosystem and enterprise sector, facilitating relationship-building and partnership opportunities.
- A consistent history of long-term employment and professional advancement, reflecting dedication and capability.
