About the role
Deepgram is establishing its regional presence in Singapore to capture demand for its voice AI platform across South East Asia. This role focuses on full-cycle sales, requiring an individual to build a territory from the ground up while managing both direct and partner-led motions. The hire will own the end-to-end sales process for a designated territory, driving both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts to fuel sustainable growth. They will act as the primary commercial owner, responsible for understanding local market dynamics and translating them into a compelling value proposition for engineering stakeholders. Success in this position hinges on the ability to generate independent pipeline while effectively collaborating with marketing and SDR teams to amplify the reach of demand generation initiatives. The individual will be expected to articulate the technical merits of the platform to sophisticated buyers and use data to refine their sales approach continuously. This role is critical for establishing Deepgram's foothold in a high-priority region and will directly influence the company's long-term strategic objectives in South East Asia.

What you'll do
- Manage a defined territory end to end, encompassing pipeline generation, complex deal management, and the consistent achievement of assigned revenue targets for new business and expansion.
- Independently prospect new accounts while partnering with SDRs and marketing initiatives to increase Deepgram's market presence and brand recognition across industry and developer events.
- Execute direct sales strategies alongside co-sell motions, placing specific emphasis on forging partnerships with technology companies and solution providers based in Singapore.
- Target a diverse spectrum of potential customers, ranging from high-growth technology startups to large multinational enterprises spread throughout South East Asia.
- Secure new customer logos and drive account expansion by demonstrating tangible product value and uncovering new use cases that justify increased adoption.
- Collaborate closely with Field Engineers and technical teams to manage complex evaluations, respond to security questionnaires, and ensure a smooth transition from sale to production deployment.
- Translate intricate technical capabilities into clear, business-focused narratives for engineering-focused audiences, maintaining precise and accurate sales forecasting throughout the deal cycle.
- Synthesize customer insights and market feedback to inform the internal product team's roadmap and positioning strategies in a rapidly evolving market.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline that balances early-stage exploration with late-stage opportunities to ensure a consistent flow of business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to adjust sales playbooks and ensure Deepgram remains the preferred voice AI partner.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify inefficiencies in the sales process and implement improvements that increase conversion rates and cycle times.
- Partner with customer success and implementation teams to validate that solutions meet client expectations and foster long-term loyalty.
- Represent Deepgram at industry conferences, meetups, and developer communities to strengthen thought leadership in the voice AI space.
- Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline updates to support strategic planning and executive reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of quota-carrying experience as a full-cycle Account Executive with a documented history of consistently exceeding individual and team targets.
- Proven ability to sell complex technical products, such as APIs, platforms, or developer tools, to engineering and technical decision-makers.
- Demonstrated experience conducting business across multiple South East Asian markets, engaging effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing a hybrid sales motion that includes both direct sales efforts and partner co-sell initiatives through alliances and channel partners.
- Experience with a land-and-expand sales model, successfully driving account expansion and upsells after the initial acquisition.
- Strong organizational skills, disciplined follow-up habits, and a history of stable professional tenure with no gaps in employment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify sophisticated concepts for technical audiences.
- Self-motivated mindset capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal direct supervision.
- Results-oriented mentality with a proven track record of meeting or surpassing quota attainment and revenue objectives.
- Willingness to travel within the Singapore region for customer meetings, industry events, and prospecting activities as business needs require.

- Background in selling voice AI, speech technology, AI/ML, or infrastructure products within a SaaS or cloud environment.
- Experience co-selling solutions via hyperscalers or large systems integrators to accelerate enterprise adoption.
- Familiarity with the Challenger sales methodology and a structured approach to influencing stakeholder consensus.
- Previous work experience in early-stage or high-growth company environments where agility and adaptability were essential.
- Understanding of developer ecosystems and the unique buying cycles associated with technical buyers.
