What you'll do

• Lead the design team in developing creative concepts and visual designs that reflect Bamboohr's brand values and meet user needs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive design strategies across all platforms.
• Oversee the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and enhance user experience.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Bamboohr remains at the forefront of design innovation.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all visual communications.
• Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design choices and their impact on business goals.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners when necessary to enhance design capabilities and project outcomes.
• Analyze performance metrics post-launch to assess the effectiveness of design solutions and iterate based on feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and innovation within the design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design leadership role, preferably within a tech or digital environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience in the tech or data center industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in design.
• Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
