What you'll do
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions using modern development practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using object-oriented principles and proficient coding skills in languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to refine product features and ensure alignment with user needs.
- Implement user interface components and interactive experiences that are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance across multiple devices.
- Develop and integrate cloud-native services and distributed systems that support high availability, reliability, and security in production environments.
- Apply strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and databases to solve challenging problems efficiently.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation through testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools thoughtfully to enhance development workflows and product capabilities where appropriate.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to team standards and supports long-term product sustainability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and technical discussions to elevate the overall quality of the application portfolio.
- Support the deployment and operation of applications in cloud environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with best practices.
- Continuously explore new technologies and techniques to improve the learning and work experiences delivered through D2l platforms.
- Partner with QA teams to create and execute test strategies, ensuring that releases meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Act as an active contributor within a hybrid team structure, supporting both remote and in-office collaboration efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- Ability to analyze and decompose problems into potential technical solutions.
- Experience with object-oriented design and proficient coding skills in C++, C#, or Java.
- Strong understanding of computer science topics including data structures, algorithms, databases, and distributed systems.
- Experience in software development, preferably within a technology-focused company.
- Acumen with artificial intelligence tools and their practical applications in software development.
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment with a commitment to 3 days per week in the office.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams.
