Product Marketing Manager
Job description
About the role
You are the first , responsible for building the foundational narratives that allow the market to understand what we offer and why it matters. You will own the end-to-end product and service taxonomy, ensuring naming and categorization are clear, consistent, and scalable across the business. You translate complex platform capabilities into simple, compelling value propositions for customers, executives, ESDs, OSRs, and every internal team that depends on clarity. You will define the category story and product ontology from scratch, establishing how offerings like Route Planner relate to Hotshots and the broader marketplace ecosystem. You act as the bridge between product, sales, and growth, aligning strongly opinionated stakeholders on positioning and messaging that sticks over time. You pair traditional product marketing fundamentals with fluency in AI-driven marketing tools to accelerate execution and insight. You measure success through pipeline creation, CAC efficiency, and the clarity with which our value is understood across the funnel.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own Curri's product and service taxonomy, defining clear and consistent names for our products and offerings across the business.
- Define product ontology, establishing how each offering relates to and sits within the broader suite, including distinctions such as Route Planner relative to Hotshots and marketplace options.
- Translate product value into messaging for two distinct audiences: customers externally, and executives, ESDs, OSRs, and every team internally, spanning digital and non-digital channels.
- Drive consensus across strongly opinionated stakeholders to land on naming and positioning decisions that remain durable and enforceable across teams.
- Own competitive analysis, positioning Curri's products clearly against competitors in construction and industrial supply logistics.
- Support Curri's paid acquisition across channels such as Meta and Google Ads by building accounts, running creative and audience testing, managing bids and budget, and driving CAC down while qualified pipeline increases.
- Build the PLG motion inside the marketplace, converting 1,200+ distributor customers and 10,000+ monthly active users into software trials, demos, and product-qualified leads.
- Build the outbound and ABM machinery, including list builds, enrichment, scoring, and routing for sales, integrated with paid audiences and lifecycle programs.
- Support the organic motion through SEO, industry landing pages, and content that ranks and converts, while designing referral and network-effect loops so paid is not the sole driver of growth.
- Build AI-powered workflows for creative, copy, enrichment, and reporting, enabling you to operate with the leverage of a full growth team.
- Define and maintain positioning architecture that clarifies how products interrelate, supporting both sales enablement and long-term brand coherence.
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that go-to-market language accurately reflects roadmap priorities and customer outcomes.
- Own the narrative around on-demand, last-mile logistics for construction and industrial supplies, reinforcing the mission and differentiation of the platform.
- Establish naming conventions and taxonomy guidelines that scale as the product suite expands and new categories emerge.
- Measure and communicate the impact of product marketing initiatives on pipeline, conversion, and customer understanding.
Requirements
- 3+ years of marketing experience with a track record of building and scaling performance channels.
- You have personally built and scaled Meta and Google Ads from the account level, and you can read a CAC and ROAS report and know exactly what to change next.
- You possess a pipeline-first mindset, measuring sourced ARR and CAC as core indicators of success.
- Funnel leaks register deeply with you; you instrument before you spend and move quickly to close the gap based on data.
- You have hands-on experience with Clay or equivalent list and enrichment machinery, with real workflows you can point to and the numbers they produced.
- You demonstrate a strong bias toward shipping over spec'ing, launching v1 of a campaign or loop and iterating against real signal.
- You are based in the United States and able to work in a role that may require proximity to Ventura, CA for periodic collaboration.
- You comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws and understand our commitment to equal opportunity employment.
Nice to have
- You have owned a full PLG funnel end to end and can name the loops you built and the pipeline they drove.
- You bring growth or performance marketing background in logistics, supply chain, marketplace, or industrial-vertical SaaS.
- You have grown a software product inside an existing marketplace or network, understanding multi-sided dynamics.
- You have hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI dev tools to ship growth infrastructure yourself.
- You are fluent with additional AI-driven marketing workflows beyond Clay, which is a plus for the right candidate but not a requirement.
- You are based in Southern California with proximity to Ventura HQ for periodic in-person collaboration.
