About the role
You will own the end-to-end operational delivery of the global employee lifecycle from a single pane of glass, ensuring a consistent and professional experience for employees and managers in every region. You will act as the first point of contact for all HR queries, taking full ownership of triaging, resolving, and escalating issues within defined service levels. You will be responsible for drafting, issuing, and managing all employment documentation, including contracts and change-of-terms letters, to the highest standard of accuracy and compliance. You will coordinate and deliver a world-class onboarding journey, managing pre-boarding communications, Day 1 readiness, and post-join surveys to measure success. You will manage the complete leaver process, handling exit surveys, system deactivations, and payroll notifications with precision and discretion. You will serve as the key guardian of data integrity in HiBob, maintaining accurate and audit-ready employee records across the full people data set. You will partner closely with global teams to support benefits administration, leave entitlements, and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will contribute directly to policy maintenance and continuous improvement, building self-service tools that empower employees and managers to find answers independently.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate the end-to-end employee lifecycle across all global regions, managing onboarding, probation tracking, contract changes, internal transfers, and offboarding with meticulous attention to detail.
- Serve as the primary owner of the global People inbox, triaging incoming employee and manager queries, resolving issues within SLAs, and escalating complex matters to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Draft, issue, and manage employment contracts, change-of-terms letters, and other legally compliant employment documentation to a consistently high standard.
- Coordinate and deliver a seamless onboarding experience, handling scheduling, pre-boarding communications, Day 1 readiness, and participation in onboarding surveys at both week 1 and week 5.
- Manage the leaver process end-to-end, including exit surveys, system deactivations, and payroll notifications to ensure a clean and compliant offboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready employee data in HiBob, covering employment details, salary, role, location, and reporting lines with rigorous data hygiene.
- Process all employee lifecycle changes in HiBob promptly and accurately, ensuring downstream systems such as payroll and benefits are updated without delay or error.
- Conduct regular data audits and quality checks, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with the People Systems & Change Specialist to resolve issues and improve integrity.
- Support the development and maintenance of people data standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs for assigned regions, collating, validating, and submitting changes to the payroll function within strict deadlines.
- Support benefits administration across global regions, including enrolment, changes, leavers processing, and vendor management to maintain high service levels.
- Maintain accurate records of leave entitlements, absence patterns, and statutory compliance requirements across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Maintain and update People policy documentation, ensuring content remains current, compliant, accessible, and clearly written for all employees.
- Support ISO 27001 and SOC2 audit processes by maintaining HR evidence logs and people data controls with precision and accountability.
- Identify opportunities and propose process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and enhance the employee experience at every touchpoint.
- Champion and help build self-service capability by developing FAQs, how-to guides, and manager toolkits to deflect routine queries and empower teams.
- Support global mobility administration, including visa tracking, work permit renewals, and relocation coordination where required to ensure compliance and timeliness.
- Partner with the Global People Operations Manager and People Systems & Change Specialist to drive operational excellence, maintain data integrity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Act as an ambassador for the "make it happen" culture, taking ownership of your career and demonstrating bold, accountable behaviors in every interaction.
- Collaborate closely with HR, People Systems, and global stakeholders to ensure that all HR operations run smoothly, transparently, and in line with best practices.
Requirements
- You are eligible to work in India without requiring visa sponsorship.
- You have the right to work in India under the applicable immigration laws.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a generalist People Operations or HR Operations role.
- You have demonstrable experience managing the full employee lifecycle in a multi-country, multi-currency environment.
- You have hands-on experience using HiBob as a core HRIS platform for at least 12 months.
- You have a solid understanding of payroll and benefits administration processes and their interaction with HRIS systems.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- You are highly fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate professionally across cultures.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can change rapidly.
- You are meticulous, data-driven, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
- You are proactive in identifying issues, escalating risks early, and proposing practical solutions to improve operational resilience.
- You have strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
- You are comfortable working autonomously while remaining aligned with global processes, standards, and governance.
- You have a foundational understanding of employment law and compliance relevant to Indian labor regulations and global best practices.
- You are comfortable managing confidential information with discretion and professionalism in all interactions.
- You have basic proficiency in spreadsheets and reporting tools to analyze and present operational data accurately.
- You are willing to support occasional coverage of HR operations across other regions as needed to ensure global consistency.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in a RegTech or highly regulated industry such as financial services.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 or SOC2 audit processes and HR governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI-powered HR tools and emerging technology in compliance and people operations.
- Experience with global mobility and visa work, including tracking and renewal processes.
- Knowledge of employment law in multiple jurisdictions beyond India.
- Experience building and maintaining HRIS data standards, naming conventions, and governance documentation.
- Previous exposure to building self-service resources, FAQs, and manager toolkits.
- Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS environment with a strong focus on operational excellence.
- Exposure to M&A integration and post-merger HR integration activities.
- Experience collaborating with AI research and engineering teams on product and process innovation.
Practical notes
