Data Solution Architect
Job description
About the role
This role is centered on designing and shaping data solutions that support both customer-facing systems and internal operational processes within the organization. As the Data Solution Architect, you will own the establishment of architectural direction for data systems, ensuring that every solution is scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned precisely with evolving business needs. You will work in close collaboration with engineering, product, and data teams to translate intricate requirements into coherent and effective data architectures that meet exacting standards for performance, security, and governance. The position involves guiding teams through the implementation of these architectures, conducting thorough design reviews, and ensuring that all solutions strictly adhere to enterprise standards and best practices. Your work will be critical in enabling the organization to manage its data effectively while maintaining high levels of reliability, security, and compliance across the entire data lifecycle.
Key facts
What you'll do
You will analyze complex business requirements and define the corresponding data architecture to address current and future needs effectively. You will design comprehensive data solutions that integrate structured and unstructured data sources while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. You will lead the creation of data models and system designs that clearly illustrate data flows, integration patterns, and dependencies across the broader technology landscape. You will evaluate and select appropriate data storage technologies, balancing relational and non-relational databases to suit specific use cases. You will oversee the implementation of robust data pipeline and ETL processes, leveraging tools such as SSIS to handle efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading. You will utilize Python programming to develop scripts and automation that enhance data processing capabilities and operational efficiency. You will define and contribute to technical standards, architecture frameworks, and best practices that govern data projects across the organization. You will lead technical design sessions and reviews, providing guidance to delivery teams to ensure architectural consistency, quality, and alignment with strategic objectives. You will communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making at all levels. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional and often remote teams to foster alignment and a shared understanding of architectural goals. You will incorporate knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance standards to ensure that enterprise data management practices remain robust and defensible. You will stay informed on emerging data technologies and trends, applying a proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement.
