As a strategic finance partner, your primary responsibility will be to provide analytical insights that support growth leaders in optimizing the subscription funnel and shaping investment strategies. What you'll do
- Oversee and manage the global marketing budgets, ensuring effective planning, expense management, and regional financial tracking.
- Work closely with marketing leadership to ensure that investment allocations are aligned with return on investment (ROI) objectives and growth strategies.
- Continuously monitor spending against established plans to identify potential risks and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Supervise performance metrics across the subscription funnel, focusing on key areas such as customer acquisition, conversion rates, retention, and churn.
- Conduct thorough analyses of marketing effectiveness across both organic and paid channels to drive informed decision-making.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), and payback periods.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and forecasting cycles to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a robust reporting infrastructure and business intelligence tools to facilitate data-driven insights.
- Establish governance frameworks to standardize spending approvals and streamline financial processes.
- Prepare detailed executive reports and provide mentorship to a Senior Financial Analyst, fostering professional development within the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or finance business partnering.
- Proven experience supporting marketing, growth, or go-to-market initiatives within media, entertainment, or subscription-based industries.
- Strong expertise in financial governance, budget oversight, and expense management practices.
- Familiarity with subscription and marketing metrics, including CAC, LTV, ARPU, and churn rates.
- Demonstrated experience in building and scaling business intelligence reporting systems.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and proficiency in Excel are essential.
- Ability to manage and mentor team members effectively.
- Experience working within a global, matrixed organizational structure is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
Nice to have
- An MBA or other advanced degree would be advantageous.
- Experience in the anime or gaming sectors is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile financial practices and methodologies.

- Proficient in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Experience with Board for financial planning and analysis.
- Advanced Excel capabilities for complex financial modeling.
- Strong executive communication skills for presenting financial insights and strategies.
