About the role
You will manage marketing approval submissions for assigned titles with licensors across Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea, ensuring materials are submitted accurately and tracked closely through to decision. You will be the primary contact for creative asset review on assigned titles, coordinating feedback, revisions, and approvals so campaigns stay on schedule and risks are mitigated early. You will build and maintain trusted relationships with licensors by being transparent and consistent in how Crunchyroll supports each title and partner. You will coordinate additional approval and asset needs that support Brand Managers, helping connect teams across Marketing, Product, Business Development, Content Operations, Communications, and other partners involved in campaign execution. You will help improve visibility and consistency across the approvals process by tracking status, flagging risks early, and supporting documentation and reporting that strengthen planning and future campaigns. You will join a well-established team with existing processes and close support from teammates doing similar work in a collaborative environment. This role partners across Marketing, Content, Product, Business Development, Content Operations, and Communications to support successful promotions from planning through launch. You will report to the Director, Partner Relations & Content Marketing and play an important part in helping Crunchyroll bring campaigns to market smoothly by reducing delays, improving coordination, and building trust with content partners.

What you'll do
Coordinate marketing approval submissions for assigned titles with licensors across Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea to ensure accurate materials and timely tracking.
Serve as the primary contact for creative asset review on assigned titles, managing feedback, revisions, and approvals to keep campaigns on schedule.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with licensors by being transparent and consistent in how Crunchyroll supports each title and partner.
Coordinate additional approval and asset needs that support Brand Managers, aligning cross-functional teams in Marketing, Product, Business Development, Content Operations, Communications, and other partners.
Track approval status, flag risks early, and support documentation and reporting to improve visibility and consistency across the approvals process.
Strengthen planning and future campaigns by maintaining clear records and contributing insights derived from approvals workflows and partner interactions.
Support the execution of marketing promotions from submission through final delivery, working with external partners across different cultural and business contexts.
Help campaigns move smoothly by coordinating closely with an established team that provides close support and follows existing processes.
Act as a bridge between Crunchyroll content creators and licensors and internal teams to ensure alignment on title representation and requirements.
Assist in reducing delays and improving coordination by proactively managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across the approval lifecycle.
Contribute to cross-departmental collaboration by liaising with Marketing, Content, Product, Business Development, Content Operations, Communications, and other internal stakeholders.
Support the successful promotion of anime titles by maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in asset handling and approval tracking.
Promote best practices across the approvals process by documenting workflows, outcomes, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Help ensure that marketing campaigns launch on schedule by coordinating closely with internal teams and external licensors in Japan and across APAC.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in marketing coordination, approvals, partner management, content operations, or a similar role within entertainment, media, licensing, or consumer-facing brands.
Experience managing multiple creative assets, timelines, and review cycles across several partners and projects at once.
Experience working with external partners across different cultural and business contexts with Japan-based partners or licensors.
Experience supporting approvals, campaign execution, or asset trafficking for marketing promotions from submission through final delivery.
Experience with project tracking and asset management tools used to monitor status, organize materials, and keep cross-departmental teams aligned.
Native Business level Japanese skills.
Native Business level English skills.
Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) and/or Korean is a plus.
