About the role
This role owns the complete visual and verbal identity of Coram AI from first principles. You will define how the brand looks, sounds, and behaves across every touchpoint and ensure consistency at scale. You will evolve the design system so that it becomes a durable asset that supports every product release and marketing campaign. You will translate abstract product value into clear, compelling, and trustworthy visual stories for customers and internal stakeholders. You will act as the definitive voice on aesthetics, ensuring that every pixel and word aligns with our mission and standards. You will raise the baseline of taste and craftsmanship across the organization so that the Coram presence becomes instantly recognizable and confidently authoritative.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Evolve and steward the Coram visual identity, including the CORAM wordmark, aperture symbol, color and type system, illustration language, iconography standards, and motion design.
- Own the end-to-end design of the Coram website as the primary company front door, setting art direction and conversion-focused copy and layouts in partnership with demand gen and SEO.
- Translate complex product capabilities into legible and desirable visuals, producing feature launches, demo assets, explainer visuals, and field-ready sales decks and collateral.
- Set the visual standard for all campaigns, advertisements, social content, email sequences, events, and video productions, ensuring nothing off-brand goes public.
- Partner closely with the video team to elevate production and design quality of published content and define repeatable workflows for creative excellence.
- Hire, lead, and develop designers and creatives as the team scales, while managing and guiding external agencies and contractors to deliver high-quality work.
- Define and document how design, marketing, product, and sales collaborate, creating clear processes and shared tools that increase speed and clarity.
- Act as the primary critic with a clear point of view on what good design looks like, defending standards while lifting the quality of everything Coram puts into the world.
- Build and maintain a living design system and brand guidelines that serve as the source of truth for all teams and external partners.
- Enable faster, more confident decision-making by product and marketing through clear visual structures, templates, and component libraries.
- Ensure that every customer interaction with Coram feels intentional, coherent, and aligned with the promise of intelligent, modern video security.
- Contribute to strategic conversations at the highest levels, shaping how AI-driven security is perceived in a crowded and rapidly evolving market.
Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of experience in brand and design, including senior creative leadership with full brand ownership in an early stage environment such as Series A or B.
- Demonstrate fluency in industry-standard tools, specifically Figma for design systems and Adobe applications including Illustrator and After Effects for motion.
- Present a portfolio that demonstrates clear taste, intentionality, and a track record of work that elevates the products and companies it represents.
- Show evidence of building and leading design teams, including hiring designers and managing productive partnerships with agencies and contractors.
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and problems require rapid, high-quality solutions.
- Communicate with exceptional clarity in English, both in writing and speaking, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Commit to working in the United States under full-time employment classification as defined by local labor regulations.
- Respect the confidentiality of business operations, product roadmaps, and customer data at all times.
