About the role
You will own the design and execution of the People strategy that allows Coram AI to scale globally without sacrificing speed or accountability. This role requires you to maintain a precise pulse on organizational health, employee sentiment, management quality, and emerging cultural issues across all offices. You will preserve Coram's culture of high velocity, ownership, candor, and high standards as the company multiplies in size and complexity. You will build and fully own the end-to-end People Operations function, creating the policies, systems, tools, and processes that enable a large organization to operate with startup urgency. You will own the complete employee lifecycle, ensuring excellence in onboarding, performance management, promotions, employee relations, terminations, and off-boarding. You will ensure strict employment compliance across the United States, the United Kingdom, and India while building scalable frameworks for compensation, benefits, leave, documentation, investigations, and workplace policies. You will partner directly with executives and managers on organizational design, workforce planning, team health, and difficult people decisions. You will improve management quality through practical tools, coaching, and clear performance expectations that drive accountability and results.

What you'll do
Define and execute the People Operations strategy to support rapid growth while maintaining a high-performance, mission-driven culture.
Build and own the full People Operations function, including all policies, systems, tools, and processes required for scale.
Maintain a strong pulse on organizational health, employee sentiment, management quality, and cultural issues across all offices.
Preserve Coram's culture of high velocity, ownership, candor, and high standards as the company scales to new levels.
Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, promotions, employee relations, terminations, and off-boarding.
Ensure strict compliance with employment laws and regulations across the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
Build and manage scalable processes for compensation, benefits, leave, documentation, investigations, and workplace policies.
Partner with executives and managers on organizational design, workforce planning, team health, and difficult people decisions.
Improve management quality through practical tools, coaching, and clear performance expectations that drive accountability and results.
Own office management, workplace operations, facilities, and employee experience across all physical locations.
Partner closely with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, IT, and company leadership to align People initiatives with business objectives.
Champion the use of data and feedback to inform decisions that enhance engagement, retention, and productivity.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex organizational and people-related challenges.
Drive continuous improvement in People processes to increase efficiency, transparency, and employee experience.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience leading People or People Operations at a rapidly growing startup or scale-up environment.
Proven ability to support an organization of at least 300 employees or to help a company scale through a similar growth phase.
Track record of building a People function from the ground up, not merely operating within an established structure.
Strong expertise across People Operations, compliance, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and workplace operations.
Experience operating across multiple countries, with a focus on the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
Sound judgment, direct communication, and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and decisiveness.
Comfortable operating strategically while remaining highly hands-on in execution and follow-through.
Strong startup mindset and the ability to build lightweight processes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy or red tape.
Resilient in challenging and fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly and ambiguity is constant.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment and engage with teams across office locations.

Practical notes

Travel may be required between offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
