What you'll do
- Oversee the recruitment process by developing job descriptions, posting openings, and conducting interviews to attract top talent for various roles within the organization.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and providing them with the necessary resources and training.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, fostering a supportive environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans, to enhance workforce productivity.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys and feedback sessions, to gather insights and improve workplace satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management to address employee relations issues, providing guidance and support in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to enhance HR practices.
- Support training and development programs by identifying skill gaps and coordinating learning opportunities for employees.
- Participate in compensation and benefits administration, assisting in the evaluation and implementation of competitive salary structures and benefits packages.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in human resources, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or a similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance across all HR functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing employee concerns and conflicts.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Nice to have
- Professional certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is preferred.
