What you'll do

• Operate and maintain mud rotary and auger drilling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the best drilling methods and techniques for each project.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop drilling plans that meet project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor drilling operations, adjusting parameters as necessary to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Collect and document geological samples during drilling operations, maintaining accurate records for analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions for crew members.
• Train and mentor junior drillers and crew members, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and any challenges encountered.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation, ensuring all data is accurately recorded and submitted on time.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drilling operations, specifically with mud rotary and auger methods.
• Proven ability to operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently, with a strong understanding of drilling techniques and geology.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the drilling industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating leadership and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed, including remote locations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
