What you'll do

• Assist the drilling team in the setup and operation of drilling equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
• Participate in daily pre-drill inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Support the driller in monitoring drilling parameters and adjusting equipment as necessary to optimize performance.
• Handle and transport drilling materials and tools to and from the job site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
• Document drilling activities and assist in data collection for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions to enhance personal and team safety awareness.
• Assist in the training of new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices related to drilling operations.
• Engage in continuous learning opportunities to improve skills and advance within the drilling field.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.
• Participate in post-drilling evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a relevant field is a plus.
• Previous experience in the drilling industry or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety standards.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and perform manual labor as required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork and reporting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to assist in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Nice to have

• Certification in First Aid and CPR to enhance workplace safety.
• Experience operating heavy machinery or specialized drilling equipment.
• Familiarity with geological and environmental considerations in drilling operations.
