Bamboohr is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Burnaby, British Columbia. What you'll do

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks and technologies, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.
Implement user-friendly interfaces and enhance existing features based on user feedback and testing.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
Assist in the deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications, addressing issues as they arise.
Document development processes, code changes, and system configurations for future reference.
Engage in agile development practices, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Mentor junior developers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of learning within the team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Strong experience with back-end technologies, including Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java, and familiarity with RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
A passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow within the field.

Nice to have

Experience with mobile application development, particularly using frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
Previous experience in a client-facing role or working directly with customers to gather requirements.
Understanding of security best practices in web development and application deployment.
