What you'll do
- Assist the lead driller in the setup and operation of drilling equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
- Monitor drilling parameters and assist in maintaining accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, time, and materials used.
- Participate in pre-drilling site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Handle and transport drilling supplies and materials to and from the job site, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Support the maintenance and repair of drilling equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the lead driller.
- Collaborate with the drilling team to implement best practices for safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of geological samples, helping to provide valuable data for project planning.
- Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
