Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather necessary information for accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in scope, resources, or timelines.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients and vendors, to provide updates on project status and address any scheduling conflicts.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reports detailing project timelines, milestones, and any potential delays.
- Assist in the identification of risks and issues that may impact project schedules, proposing solutions to mitigate these challenges.
- Organize and facilitate scheduling meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and engaged in the planning process.
- Maintain a centralized database of project schedules and documentation, ensuring easy access for team members and stakeholders.
- Support the onboarding of new team members by providing training on scheduling processes and tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling practices and overall project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all scheduling activities.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting open communication and collaboration among team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in scheduling or project coordination, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- Familiarity with construction processes and terminology is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience with Agile or Lean project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of resource management and allocation strategies.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking related to project scheduling.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
