What you'll do
- Develop comprehensive project schedules using advanced scheduling software, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather project requirements and translate them into actionable scheduling tasks.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and present regular schedule updates and reports to project teams and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.
- Facilitate project meetings to discuss scheduling issues, resource allocation, and project priorities, ensuring effective communication among all parties involved.
- Analyze and evaluate project scope changes, assessing their impact on the overall schedule and advising project managers accordingly.
- Maintain a centralized database of project schedules and documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all team members.
- Utilize critical path method (CPM) techniques to optimize project schedules and resource utilization, enhancing overall project efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments related to scheduling and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
- Support the development of project proposals and bids by providing accurate scheduling estimates and timelines.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members to promote collaboration and ensure project success.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in project scheduling and management, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the aviation or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including CPM and earned value management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to aviation and infrastructure projects is a plus.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with government contracts and understanding of federal procurement processes.
- Knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies as they apply to project scheduling.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, enhancing client relationships and satisfaction.
