About the role
This position involves performing cleanup and maintenance tasks at facilities that handle composite materials and related substances. The Composite Cleanup Worker is responsible for keeping work areas safe, organized, and compliant with all applicable health and safety standards. This is a full-time role based in Jacksonville, Florida, where the individual will carry out routine and periodic cleaning duties as part of a broader operations team. The worker supports the overall efficiency of the facility by ensuring that all spaces meet the required cleanliness and safety benchmarks.

What you'll do
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of work areas where composite materials are handled and processed
- Remove waste and debris from production floors, storage zones, and designated disposal areas on a regular schedule
- Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely, following all manufacturer guidelines and facility procedures at all times
- Inspect workspaces for hazards such as spills, loose materials, or improperly stored items and report findings promptly
- Maintain and restock cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment, and safety signage throughout the facility as needed
- Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective gear during every cleaning task
- Assist with the transport of waste materials to approved disposal or recycling locations within the facility
- Support other team members during peak operational periods by stepping in with additional cleanup and maintenance tasks
- Keep detailed logs of cleaning activities, including dates, areas cleaned, and any incidents or observations noted
- Ensure that all cleaned areas meet the standards set by management and any relevant regulatory requirements
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current on safety procedures and cleaning best practices
- Help maintain the overall appearance and order of common areas, break rooms, and shared spaces in the facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials for extended periods throughout each shift
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial cleanup environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to work in environments where composite materials and related substances are present on a daily basis
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential, as the role requires a consistent and dependable work schedule
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team without direct supervision for routine tasks
- Must pass a background check and meet any other pre-employment requirements set by the company
Nice to have
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling and disposal procedures is a plus for this role
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, industrial vacuums, or floor scrubbers
- Certification in occupational health and safety or a related field would be beneficial
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste handling and environmental compliance is valued
Skills & tools
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures used in industrial and manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment including gloves, goggles, respirators, and protective clothing
- Understanding of basic safety signage, hazard communication standards, and emergency response protocols
- Ability to read and interpret cleaning supply safety data sheets and product labels accurately
- Comfort with operating basic cleaning machinery and hand tools used in facility maintenance
- Awareness of waste segregation practices including recyclable, hazardous, and general waste categories

- This is a full-time position based at the Jacksonville, Florida location with standard business hours
- The role requires physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending regularly
- Employees in this position must adhere to all company safety policies and wear required protective gear at all times
- New hires will receive on-the-job training covering cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation before starting independent duties
