What you'll do

• Design and develop architectural frameworks for complex systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
• Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on best practices and design patterns.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, including diagrams, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of existing systems to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Clearspace remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Participate in the development of technical proposals and presentations for clients, showcasing Clearspace's capabilities and solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure integration and deployment of applications in cloud environments.
• Engage in troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex architectural issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to promote collaborative design thinking and innovation among team members.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in system architecture or a related field, with a strong focus on software development.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable systems using modern architectural patterns such as microservices and serverless architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with a solid understanding of software development methodologies.
• Experience with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience in leading architectural initiatives in a consulting or client-facing role.
• Understanding of security best practices in system design and implementation.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
