About the role
You will report directly to the Executive Clinical Leadership team and own the strategy and execution of behavioral health delivery for our pediatric population. This role requires you to build and lead a high-performing team of behavioral health clinicians while ensuring that every interaction with the patient journey reflects our commitment to clinical excellence. You will partner deeply with our operations and referral networks to streamline care coordination and remove barriers to access for children and families. You will champion a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability among clinicians, ensuring that team members feel supported, challenged, and engaged. You will translate complex clinical needs into clear operational processes that maintain safety, quality, and scalability. You will serve as the clinical conscience of the team, upholding ethical standards and regulatory compliance in all behavioral health practices. You will own the continuous improvement of care pathways specific to pediatric behavioral health, including ADHD, anxiety, and co-occurring conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder.

What you'll do
- Supervise and support a growing clinical team of psychologists and master's level providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.

- Uphold the highest ethical and regulatory standards while championing clinical excellence across all behavioral health services.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team to align clinician schedules with patient demand and optimize availability for care.
- Evaluate and refine workflows, outcomes, and patient experience to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Balance clinical judgment with business acumen to make decisions that positively impact the clinician experience and business outcomes.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments as needed to support complex pediatric behavioral health cases.
- Lead new patient intake appointments to ensure thorough assessment and appropriate placement within the care model.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD, co-occurring Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, and related conditions.
- Manage time off and scheduling flexibility to maintain coverage during last-minute changes or provider shortages.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing the patient experience and achieving strong NPS benchmarks.
- Partner with referring providers to ensure seamless integration between virtual care and community-based services.
- Support the development and implementation of scalable staffing models that accommodate growth and fluctuating demand.
- Leverage data and clinical insights to guide decision-making and elevate the standard of care for pediatric behavioral health.
Requirements
- Proven track record solving operational challenges in behavioral health or similar clinical settings.
- Balances empathy for staff with structure, accountability, and clear boundaries.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; sees opportunity in fast-changing environments.
- Natural leader who empowers teams and raises the bar for performance and care quality.
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or Master's-level clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC).
- Active California license with 7+ years post-licensure experience; open to or already holding multi-state licenses.
- Experience in pediatric behavioral health assessments and evidence-based treatment.
- 3+ years managing clinical teams, including scheduling, culture, and quality oversight.
- Skilled in improving workflows, outcomes, and patient experience through data-informed strategies.
- Collaborative, proactive, and tech-savvy in approach to care delivery.
- Culturally responsive and committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Equipped for secure, remote work with strong digital literacy and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience working within managed care or value-based care models.
- Familiarity with pediatric chronic conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, allergies, asthma, and obesity.
- Experience with virtual care platforms and asynchronous communication tools.
- Background in coaching or guiding clinicians on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) protocols.
- Knowledge of community referral networks and how to integrate physical and behavioral health.
Practical notes
This role is fully remote with optional in-person work days in the Bay Area, California. The position is full-time and requires flexibility to support last-minute scheduling changes, including coverage for provider absences or group rescheduling. Travel is not required, and the role is open to candidates across the United States. You must be equipped for secure remote work and able to maintain consistent communication with distributed team members.
