The Senior Revenue Operations Manager, internally titled Associate Director, Revenue Operations, owns the end-to-end performance and scalability of the Revenue Operations practice. This senior, client-facing player-coach is responsible for leading a team of RevOps Strategists while maintaining deep, hands-on expertise in Salesforce, marketing automation, and HubSpot to ensure technical quality. You will partner directly with the Director of Revenue Operations to design, execute, and optimize complex client marketing technology architectures. The role requires balancing strategic stakeholder communication with the ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions in live client environments. You will translate ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable marketing operations frameworks that drive predictable pipeline and measurable outcomes. What you'll do
- Manage and mentor a team of Revenue Operations Solution Engineers, including workload management, prioritization, coaching, and performance support.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client and technical challenges, driving resolution from initial intake to successful closure.
- Own or oversee strategic client relationships, ensuring consistent delivery quality, proactive communication, and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Lead and support Salesforce, HubSpot, and marketing automation audits, implementations, integrations, and optimization projects from scoping to execution.
- Provide hands-on expertise across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot, and HubSpot Marketing Hub to configure and refine marketing operations workflows.
- Design and advise on end-to-end lifecycle architecture, lead management, routing, multi-touch attribution, CRM/MAP integrations, automation, and data governance.
- Translate complex technical findings and system behaviors into clear, executive-level recommendations and actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders.
- Review strategist work for technical accuracy, completeness, and strategic quality before client delivery to maintain Directive's high standards.
- Partner with Account Directors and internal leadership to identify, scope, and prioritize expansion and cross-sell opportunities within existing client portfolios.
- Support scoping, solution design, and new business conversations for RevOps opportunities, ensuring proposals are technically sound and commercially viable.
- Develop and maintain repeatable processes, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation as the Revenue Operations practice scales.
- Maintain real-time visibility into project health, team capacity, utilization rates, and delivery risks to proactively manage timelines and resource allocation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, CRM consulting, marketing automation, or a closely related discipline.
- 1-2+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership experience demonstrating the ability to coach and develop others.
- Current, active Salesforce Administrator Certification verifying core Salesforce administration knowledge and capabilities.
- Strong, hands-on experience administering and implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud, including configuration, customization, and standard object management.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot, including email marketing, automation, scoring, and data synchronization.
- Pardot/Account Engagement certification is strongly preferred; alternatively, at least 2-3 years of proven Pardot implementation and administration experience.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including automation, lifecycle management, data architecture, integrations, and reporting.
- Demonstrated history of leading complex CRM and marketing automation implementations, audits, migrations, and optimization initiatives in production environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of lead lifecycle management, lead routing, multi-touch attribution, CRM/MAP integrations, marketing automation, and data governance.
- Proven ability to lead senior-level client conversations, influence stakeholders, and translate technical constraints into clear business recommendations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to manage client expectations and navigate difficult conversations professionally.
- Capacity to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical execution, switching contexts between strategy, implementation, and review efficiently.
Nice to have
- Previous agency experience is strongly preferred, with a track record of delivering solutions in a client services environment.
- Consulting or professional services experience in a B2B setting is highly relevant and aligns well with this role.
- Current Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot certification validating advanced Pardot expertise.
- Additional Salesforce certifications in areas such as Sales Cloud, Platform, or Integration demonstrating a broad technical foundation.
- HubSpot certifications confirming deep knowledge of HubSpot tools, workflows, and reporting.
- Prior experience working on data migrations, system integrations, or process transformations within marketing operations.
- Familiarity with analytics, attribution modeling, and data visualization tied to marketing performance.
Practical notes
This role is full-time and remote based in Canada. The position requires availability during standard business hours for collaboration with clients and internal teams, with potential for occasional after-hours support for critical implementations or go-lives. Travel is not required, though occasional virtual workshops or on-site client sessions may be requested when deeper technical depth is needed.
