Citech is looking for a Business Analyst specializing in Microsoft Fabric to support their growing analytics initiatives across the organization. The role focuses on understanding business needs and transforming them into clear, actionable requirements for data solutions built on the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This is a full-time position situated in the 69003 postal code region of France, offering the chance to work with modern data infrastructure on a daily basis. The Business Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that every data project aligns with broader organizational goals and strategic priorities while maintaining high standards of data quality.

What you'll do
Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments and functional teams on an ongoing basis
Analyze existing workflows and identify meaningful opportunities for improvement using data-driven methods and quantitative analysis
Design and maintain comprehensive data models within the Microsoft Fabric platform to support reporting and decision-making needs
Create clear and actionable specifications for reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that directly support measurable business goals
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate business needs into precise technical requirements and acceptance criteria
Validate deliverables against business expectations and conduct thorough acceptance testing to ensure solution quality and accuracy
Support the rollout of new analytical features and provide hands-on user guidance and training materials to end users
Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular status reports for leadership and cross-functional partners
Participate actively in project planning sessions and contribute meaningfully to roadmap prioritization discussions with cross-functional partners
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of business processes, system configurations, and analytical procedures
Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent analytical role in a corporate or enterprise environment with measurable outcomes
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, dimensional modeling, and relational data structures used in modern analytical platforms
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or related Microsoft data platform tools and associated services and features
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical business audiences across all levels of the organization
Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and structured documentation practices in fast-paced settings
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, information systems, or a related discipline
Attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach to problem solving and decision making
Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders regularly
Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver data projects on time and within defined scope
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with French language ability as a valued plus
Nice to have
Experience with Power BI or other Microsoft reporting and visualization tools is a strong professional advantage
Knowledge of SQL and basic data querying techniques for working with relational data stores
Prior exposure to cloud-based data platforms and software-as-a-service environments in a professional setting
Understanding of agile or iterative project delivery methodologies and how they apply to analytics teams
Familiarity with data governance practices, metadata management concepts, and regulatory compliance considerations

Proficiency with the Microsoft Fabric platform and hands-on experience building end-to-end data solutions
Business process modeling, workflow analysis, structured analytical thinking, and continuous improvement practices

Strong stakeholder communication, presentation skills, and the ability to influence decisions
SQL query writing and data extraction from relational and cloud-based data stores
