About the role
You will coordinate the collection and assembly of valuation data from internal departments and external sources to support appraisal activities. You own the end to end workflow for appraisal report production, ensuring that each file moves smoothly from data gathering to final delivery. You manage the scheduling and tracking of appraisal deadlines, acting as the central point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external appraisers. You review appraisal reports for accuracy and completeness before they are finalized and submitted for internal or external use. You provide structured administrative support to the Valuation team and assist with any ad hoc requests that arise during the appraisal cycle. You maintain organized documentation and digital records so that files are easy to locate and audit at any time. You communicate status updates clearly and proactively to Portfolio Oversight, Accounting, Investments, and Property Management teams. You contribute to the continuous improvement of valuation processes by identifying bottlenecks and suggesting practical workflow adjustments.

What you'll do
Coordinate the assembly of valuation data by gathering rent rolls, operating expenses, capital plans, and third party reports from property management and accounting.
Manage the appraisal workflow by tracking multiple deadlines, updating project schedules, and escalating risks when reviews are delayed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external appraisers, responding to requests for information and clarifying document requirements.
Review appraisal reports for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards before final distribution.
Prepare presentation materials that summarize key valuation inputs, assumptions, and sources for internal review meetings.
Maintain a centralized digital filing system that ensures all appraisal documentation is properly indexed, version controlled, and retrievable.
Perform data integrity checks on cost and income approaches, confirming that sources, dates, and adjustments are clearly documented.
Support the Portfolio Oversight team by delivering standardized valuation summaries on a recurring schedule.
Assist with ad hoc valuation analyses, market studies, and special projects requested by Investments or Accounting.
Facilitate cross functional collaboration between Accounting, Property Management, Investments, and external valuation providers.
Track changes in appraisal guidelines, regulatory requirements, and lender expectations, and communicate relevant updates to the team.
Provide administrative support such as preparing agendas, compiling packets, and managing calendars for valuation related meetings.
Verify that all appraisal reports include appropriate maps, photographs, and source documentation before final submission.
Summarize complex valuation inputs into clear narratives that help decision makers understand risk and value drivers.
Assist in the preparation of file memoranda, ensuring that transmittals, index pages, and appendices are complete and consistent.
Requirements
You are eligible for this role only if you hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
You must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in all documentation.
You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and prepare clear reports.
You must have experience using commercial real estate databases or valuation platforms, or the ability to quickly learn these systems.
You must be comfortable working with external appraisers, property managers, and senior stakeholders across different departments.
You must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate work in a professional manner.
You must be able to relocate to Los Angeles, California, or commute from an eligible location on a regular basis.
Nice to have
Experience in the real estate, lending, or investment sectors, with exposure to appraisal processes and property valuations.
Familiarity with ARGUS Enterprise, CoStar, or similar commercial real estate analysis tools.
Knowledge of appraisal standards and reporting guidelines commonly used in commercial real estate transactions.
Experience supporting portfolio level valuation reviews, loan collateral reviews, or internal audit activities.

This is a full time position based in Los Angeles, California.
Relocation to Los Angeles, California, or the ability to commute from an eligible location on a regular basis may be required.
