You will take full ownership of the services you build, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with modern cloud-native standards while actively shaping the engineering practices within your team. This role requires a hands-on engineer who is passionate about leveraging AI to not only write code but to fundamentally rethink how software is built, tested, and delivered. You will be responsible for automating repetitive engineering tasks and driving efficiency across the entire development lifecycle through intelligent tooling and automation. You will collaborate daily with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready solutions. Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to accelerating innovation and delivering tangible business value to our clients worldwide.

What you'll do

Architect, design, and develop scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices using modern architectural patterns.

Build and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using Java and Python, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability meet stringent business requirements.

Design, implement, and secure RESTful APIs and distributed systems that integrate seamlessly across complex enterprise environments on Microsoft Azure.

Leverage AI-powered development tools and workflows to enhance software delivery speed, reliability, and overall quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop and maintain Azure-based solutions, utilizing Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake for advanced data processing and analytics capabilities.

Design and implement robust data models and SQL schemas to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting for enterprise applications.

Automate repetitive engineering tasks such as code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, and refactoring using custom AI-driven solutions and scripts.

Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure reliable, automated deployment and management of applications.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the overall technical expertise and AI adoption within the department.

Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve developer productivity through the intelligent application of AI tools and modern engineering practices.

Adhere to and promote Agile and Scrum methodologies, ensuring iterative development, transparent communication, and continuous improvement.

Ensure all delivered software is production-ready, well-documented, and adheres to security and compliance standards for enterprise environments.

Act as a technical leader in defining and driving the adoption of standards for microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design.

Contribute to the technical roadmap by providing insights and innovative solutions that leverage the latest advancements in AI and cloud technologies.

Requirements

Must have expert-level proficiency in Java, demonstrating a deep understanding of core principles, design patterns, and object-oriented design.

Must possess strong Python development skills, including experience with libraries and frameworks relevant to data processing and automation.

Must have a solid foundation in Object-Oriented Design and the ability to translate complex requirements into clean, maintainable code.

Must have hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building production-ready applications and RESTful API development.

Must be experienced in developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure, utilizing its core services for cloud-native solutions.

Must have practical experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics workloads.

Must be proficient in working with Delta Lake and SQL for data modeling, ensuring data integrity and efficient query performance.

Must have a strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles to design effective database schemas and optimize queries.

Must have extensive experience with Microservices Architecture, designing systems that are decoupled, resilient, and independently deployable.

Must have a deep knowledge of Distributed Systems and the challenges of building reliable, scalable applications in a networked environment.

Must have experience with Event-Driven Architecture, including the implementation of event-driven patterns and message-driven communication.

Must be skilled in REST API Design, creating clear, consistent, and well-documented interfaces for consumption by various clients.

Must have hands-on experience with Git for version control, managing code changes, and collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Must have practical experience with CI/CD Pipelines, automating the build, test, and deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable releases.

Must be proficient with Docker for containerizing applications and Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized workloads in production.

Must have demonstrable experience with Agile/Scrum practices, participating actively in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Must have practical experience using AI tools like GitHub Copilot to assist in code generation, debugging, and workflow automation.

Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and devise effective solutions.

Must have excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks beyond Java and Python.

Familiarity with other major cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in software development.
