About the role
You will own the full commercial sales cycle for assigned strategic customers, acting as the primary point of contact for C-suite stakeholders. You will prospect and open new conversations at target accounts to uncover needs and align solutions with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to build and deliver a shared product roadmap that advances customer goals. You will drive new business sales within your assigned Commercial segment while maintaining high productivity and motivation. You will partner with customer leadership to establish trust and act as a trusted advisor for long-term value. You will leverage deep product knowledge to communicate benefits and engage other Checkr resources as needed. You will represent both market trends and client needs to influence product evolution and strategy. You will ensure client satisfaction by providing post-contract support and enabling successful product adoption.
Key facts
What you'll do
Drive new business sales within assigned segment (Commercial).
Hunt for and prospect into new logos using consultative discovery methods.
Build in-depth relationships with customer stakeholders to understand business goals.
Collaborate with Human Resource leadership, Program Managers, Engineering and Product teams from Client to establish and deliver shared product roadmap.
Communicate effectively with different stakeholders within the client organization and understand the entire buying committee.
Speak to Checkr offerings as they relate to the customer's needs and engage other Checkr resources as required.
Negotiate and close all orders with the larger Checkr strategy in mind and provide post-contract support to ensure product delivery and satisfaction.
Assist the client and champions in communicating the value of Checkr to their internal stakeholders.
Build account plans for your named accounts that align with Checkr's set strategy and identify key decision makers.
Represent market trends and client needs to the Executive and Product teams to ensure current needs are served well.
Partner cross-functionally to drive funnel analytics that shows gaps, areas for improvement, and optimizations.
Exhibit business acumen and strategic thinking on a high level, with the ability to go deep into an account and consult on global strategy.
Exhibit deep and up-to-date knowledge of our product portfolio to communicate benefits of new features and enhancements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Sales, Support and executives) to complete client goals.
Requirements
2-3 years of B2B SaaS or consumption based tech sales experience.
Willingness and ability to open new conversations at target accounts.
Experience closing new business accounts with large global or multinational customers, with complex organizational structures.
Experience selling to EVPs, CXOs and end-users within the same sales cycle in both individual and team sales environments.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and executive-level communication.
Strong consultative selling skills and experience managing large, complex sales cycles.
Comfortable using Salesforce and related sales tools to manage pipeline and forecasting.
Ability to travel up to 25% within the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California for customer meetings.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
Experience with background screening, identity verification, or compliance-related products.
Knowledge of AI-driven verification and fraud detection solutions.
Familiarity with enterprise software procurement processes and stakeholder management.
Experience working with startups that have scaled to serve large enterprise customers.
Practical notes
This role is full-time based in San Francisco, California.
Travel is required up to 25% within the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California.
