You will be a key technical advisor, ensuring Chainalysis products become integral to customer operations.

What you'll do
- Manage customer engagements from beginning to end, including discovery, investigation, solution design, deployment, and ongoing value delivery.
- Conduct blockchain investigations using the Chainalysis platform, applying tracing, open-source intelligence, and analytical methods to customer issues.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their investigative, intelligence, compliance, or operational goals and translate them into practical solutions.
- Create and maintain custom workflows, notebooks, dashboards, queries, and data models using Chainalysis data and products.
- Empower customers to use solutions independently by building their capabilities and integrating Chainalysis into their operations.
- Serve as the primary technical and domain advisor for your customers, building trust through hands-on expertise.
- Provide live training, demonstrations, investigative walkthroughs, and technical briefings to both technical and non-technical groups.
- Support pre-sales technical discussions for complex and strategic deals, helping potential customers understand possibilities and implementation paths.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Global Intel, and Sales to influence product development based on field insights.
- Cultivate and share domain expertise, investigative methods, and best practices to enhance the Global Services team's overall capability.
Requirements
- Experience conducting or directly supporting cryptocurrency investigations, blockchain intelligence, or financial crime analysis in an operational setting.
- Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems (Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, DeFi) and how on-chain data is used in investigations, compliance, or intelligence.
- Proven track record of delivering customer-facing technical solutions, such as investigative outputs, data products, or analytical workflows, in complex environments.
- Direct experience working with customers in law enforcement, national security, intelligence, compliance, financial crime, or security.
- Ability to derive insights from large or complex datasets and present findings to diverse audiences, from analysts to executives.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, ambiguous settings requiring ownership, adaptability, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, transformation, and solution development.
- Experience creating notebooks, dashboards, and analytical workflows.
- Solid grasp of data modeling, querying, and working with large datasets.
- Capability to quickly master Chainalysis data structures, schemas, and products.
- Substantial knowledge in at least one domain: financial and cyber crime investigations, sanctions and compliance, fraud, national security, DeFi/protocol security, tax, or private sector risk.
- Understanding of customer workflows, regulatory environments, and success metrics within your domain.
- Ability to apply domain knowledge to shape investigation approaches, solution design, and customer advice.
- Proven ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships through technical and domain credibility.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex investigative and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable leading customer sessions, workshops, training, and technical working groups.
- Experience enabling and upskilling customer teams, focusing on capability building rather than just delivering outputs.

- Background in law enforcement, intelligence, or military investigations.
- Experience providing expert evidence or supporting legal proceedings.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (BSA/AML, sanctions screening, MiCA, Travel Rule).
- Experience with data engineering tools and platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, cloud-based analytics).
- Published research, intelligence products, or thought leadership in blockchain analytics or financial crime.
