Supply Chain Operations Coordinator

About the role

You will own the daily execution of warehouse and materials management processes in support of Commonwealth Fusion Systems' commercial power plant development. You will ensure that all inbound and outbound logistics flow smoothly and that inventory integrity is maintained at all times. This role requires you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate production schedules into precise material movements. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records that support decision making and operational efficiency. You will troubleshoot logistical issues and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. You will act as a key liaison between suppliers, internal departments, and the warehouse floor. Your work will directly contribute to the timely delivery of critical components for fusion energy systems.

What you'll do

Coordinate the flow of materials through the warehouse by managing receiving, put-away, and replenishment activities to support production demands.

Process outgoing shipments with precision by generating documentation, verifying contents, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems to track stock levels, locations, and movements in real time.

Perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks to validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Support the planning team by analyzing demand forecasts and coordinating the procurement of materials required for fusion energy projects.

Execute logistics plans by coordinating with carriers, dock staff, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.

Implement organization strategies for the warehouse floor to optimize space utilization, improve accessibility, and enhance safety.

Utilize material handling equipment and technology tools to streamline operations and reduce the risk of damage or loss.

Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues related to deliveries, shortages, or returns.

Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain reliability and efficiency.

Adhere to all company policies, quality standards, and safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Assist with special projects as assigned, including process mapping, data analysis, and documentation related to supply chain operations.

Support the scaling of operations by preparing for volume increases and managing complex logistics requirements.

Communicate progress, risks, and emerging issues to leadership to facilitate proactive decision making and resource alignment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Have the right to permanent work authorization in the US now and in the future.

Not be currently employed by Commonwealth Fusion Systems or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries.

Not be a relative of any current director level employee or executive of Commonwealth Fusion Systems.

Be able to pass a background check and meet all eligibility requirements for employment.

Be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the role, including prolonged standing and repetitive motion.

Be able to lift, push, or pull reasonable weights required for the movement of materials and equipment.

Be able to understand and communicate in English to perform all job functions effectively.

Nice to have

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.

Basic understanding of inventory management principles and data accuracy practices.

Exposure to manufacturing or energy sector operations.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems and technology tools.

Ability to work structured shifts in a fast paced environment.

Hours: First shift

Monday

Friday, Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

This role requires the successful completion of a background check and verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
