About the role

Cfmni is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planner to join our team in Castledawson, County Londonderry. What you'll do

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, resources, and milestones to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and on schedule.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges that may arise during project execution.
• Prepare and present project updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Utilize project management software and tools to track progress, manage resources, and facilitate communication among team members.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the planning and execution phases of projects.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as project management, engineering, or business administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning or a related role, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
• Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and techniques, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards relevant to project planning and execution.
• A strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in project documentation and reporting.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in using Agile methodologies for project planning and execution.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in a project context.
• Previous experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
