Senior Manager
This role operates as a strategic extension of the client's finance organization, owned by the Business Transformation team. The Senior Manager will guide high-impact initiatives that align finance operations with corporate strategy. The focus is on modeling, budgeting, forecasting, interim management, and complex transactions such as restructuring, sell-side diligence, carve-outs, M&A integration, and other non-routine assignments. You will lead or actively support project teams responsible for delivering business transformation efforts. The work ensures that finance activities remain tightly connected to business strategy and future vision. A core part of the role involves assessing client challenges, diagnosing root causes, and recommending solutions using Cfgi capabilities. You will analyze sales and spending trends to manage financial risk and uncover growth opportunities. The position requires strong business partnering, the delivery of high-quality reports, and the analysis needed for confident decision-making. You will also contribute to business development and participate in proposal development where appropriate. Staying current with advances in technology, the digital landscape, analytics, the CFO ecosystem, and market changes is essential.

- Architect and drive enterprise-level FP&A programs that integrate long-range planning, performance management, and sophisticated scenario analysis.
- Orchestrate complex engagements by directing cross-functional project teams, facilitating client workshops, and overseeing execution across staffing, budgets, and timelines.
- Cultivate trusted advisory relationships with executive stakeholders, presenting financial insights, business cases, and strategic recommendations directly to CFOs and senior finance leaders.
- Leverage deep expertise in planning, analytics, reporting, EPM, and ERP platforms to modernize finance processes, enhance controls, and strengthen decision-making frameworks.
- Analyze sales and spending trends rigorously to manage financial risk, identify inefficiencies, and uncover strategic growth opportunities for clients.
- Contribute actively to business development initiatives, including proposal development, practice growth, knowledge sharing, and the mentoring of junior team members.
- Demonstrate mastery in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support transformation initiatives and interim management scenarios.
- Support complex transactions such as restructuring, sell-side diligence, carve-outs, M&A integration, and other non-routine assignments with detailed analysis and clear communication.
- Champion the adoption of technology and digital tools within the finance function, aligning with the CFO ecosystem and current market advancements.
- Uphold the delivery of high-quality reports and analytical outputs that empower clients to make confident, data-driven decisions.
- Maintain currency with industry trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging best practices to ensure advice remains relevant and impactful.
- Collaborate with practice leaders to develop and refine methodologies that enhance the firm's service offerings and competitive positioning.
- Provide thought leadership through training, knowledge transfer, and the documentation of best practices across client engagements.
Requirements
- Bring 8-12 years of cumulative experience in FP&A, finance transformation, corporate finance, consulting, or closely related fields.
- Demonstrate proven leadership in planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, or finance transformation within consulting, professional services, or corporate environments.

- Exhibit outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
- Be proactive in identifying client needs, translating business challenges into actionable insights, and cultivating long-term advisory relationships.
- Show high levels of organization and the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements, competing priorities, and shifting deadlines with poise.
- Apply strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities to deconstruct complex business issues and design pragmatic solutions.

- Hands-on experience with FP&A platforms including Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Planful, OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, and Cognos, enhancing technical proficiency.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics, enabling seamless integration and process alignment.
- Background in supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, refinancing, capital raises, and sophisticated scenario modeling, broadening the scope of advisory services.
- Experience within highly regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and life sciences, providing context-specific insights and compliance awareness.
