Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities and ensure seamless integration with various services.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues to enhance application reliability and user satisfaction.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our software solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure efficient application performance in production environments.
- Document technical specifications, architecture designs, and system processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries that enhance team productivity and code reusability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Solid experience with back-end technologies, including Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java, and familiarity with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development, as well as experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in agile methodologies and practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms.
- Understanding of security best practices in software development and deployment.
- Previous experience in the fintech industry or working with payment processing systems.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with back-end frameworks such as Express.js, Django, or Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools for CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
