About the role
In this supervisory position, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees at our Inspection Center, ensuring that vehicle reconditioning objectives are achieved efficiently. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations, enhancing team performance, and upholding the highest quality standards for our vehicle inventory.

What you'll do
- Oversee the safe and efficient movement of vehicles throughout the facility, ensuring production and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
- Set and manage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory output targets to optimize workflow.
- Supervise and mentor team members, identifying their strengths and areas that require development to enhance overall performance.
- Create a positive and productive work atmosphere, addressing and resolving any conflicts that may arise within the team.
- Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and maintain performance standards.
- Assess mechanical and physical defects in vehicles to determine whether repairs are necessary or if vehicles should be rejected.
- Work closely with the General Manager of the Inspection Center to uphold repair quality and operational efficiency.
- Provide training to associates on quality control measures to minimize rework and avoid production delays.
- Maintain a safe working environment by proactively identifying and mitigating hazardous conditions.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- Familiarity with computer systems is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in vehicle reconditioning processes is necessary.
- A solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years is mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently is required.
- Candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, and walking.
- Willingness to work in a shop environment, which may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures, is essential.
- Must be able to utilize necessary safety equipment, including goggles, gloves, and masks.
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling is expected.
- Strong communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and delegate effectively, are crucial for success in this role.

- Experience in a leadership role within a similar industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and standards would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems can enhance efficiency.
- Certifications related to vehicle inspection or quality control are advantageous.
