About the role
You will manage our inventory of parts by sourcing and ordering complex automotive parts while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. You will communicate with dealers and suppliers to ensure seamless parts flow and resolve any discrepancies. You will manage parts returns and general inventory, handling all related documentation and reconciliation. You will reconcile and record payment for parts, ensuring all financial transactions are properly logged. You will utilize state of the art tools in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers to support vehicle readiness. If you're joining us in an entry-level position, we offer training programs to make sure your skills and pay progress along with the company. What you'll do
- Analyze complex automotive parts requirements and initiate sourcing and ordering processes to meet operational needs.
- Execute parts returns procedures and oversee general inventory activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Facilitate communication with dealers and suppliers to clarify specifications, resolve issues, and confirm part availability.
- Perform reconciliation and recording of payment for parts, verifying invoices, receipts, and transaction details.
- Operate high-tech tools and systems within our Inspection Centers to support parts management and vehicle processing.
- Monitor inventory flows and coordinate with logistics partners to ensure parts are available when expected for vehicle delivery.
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies in parts documentation and physical stock conditions.
- Support team objectives by adhering to Carvana's standards for accuracy, speed, and customer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for inventory and parts handling.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in training and knowledge sharing when engaging with new team members during onboarding phases.
- Leverage data from inspection centers to inform parts decisions and improve overall turnaround times.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to align parts strategy with sales and service goals.
- Demonstrate adaptability to mandatory overtime and shift requirements based on business demand.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 6 months of professional automotive parts experience as specified in the job details.
- Meet the scheduled shift requirements which include second shift hours from Monday through Thursday.
- Comply with mandatory overtime policies as outlined in company guidelines during peak operational periods.
- Maintain eligibility to work at the inspection center located at 15511 E 155th St, Belton, MO 64012.
- Demonstrate ability to manage inventory of parts using company systems and tools.
- Show capacity to communicate effectively with dealers and suppliers regarding parts orders and returns.
- Verify understanding of payment reconciliation processes for parts transactions.
- Acknowledge the need to follow all company policies, safety protocols, and operational standards.
- Confirm availability to work at the designated location in Belton, Missouri as listed in the job details.

Pay: Starting pay for this position is $17/hr.
- Schedule: We are staffing for our second shift at this location. Please keep in mind that all locations are subject to mandatory overtime based on business need.
- Second shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-3am (4 x 10 hour shifts)
