About the role

Eucalyptus is seeking passionate Doctors to join a growing online medical network dedicated to supporting Australians living with chronic conditions. You will work from the comfort of your home or from our Sydney office, enjoying the flexibility to choose hours that align with your lifestyle, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive telehealth consultations, assessing, screening, diagnosing, and prescribing medication when clinically appropriate to each patient. You will deliver prompt and empathetic care, ensuring every patient interaction through the platform reflects an exceptional clinical experience and reinforces trust. Adherence to company guidelines, policies, and mandatory training is essential to maintain the highest standards of care within the network. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians to provide coordinated support. You will play a key part in advancing the mission of making good health last a lifetime for thousands of patients across the country. What you'll do

• Execute virtual patient assessments and screenings via telehealth to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medication where clinically suitable, ensuring all decisions align with platform guidelines and best practices.
• Provide empathetic, high-quality clinical care that enhances patient trust and satisfaction through every interaction.
• Coordinate with a network of specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and dietitians to support comprehensive patient management.
• Uphold strict adherence to company policies and complete all required training to maintain compliance and safety.
• Utilize clinical judgment to manage a diverse range of chronic conditions within the scope of telehealth practice.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing insights and feedback on patient care experiences.
• Support the delivery of personalized weight-management and chronic care programs such as Juniper where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each consultation to ensure continuity of care and platform integrity.
• Engage proactively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes across the supported markets.

Requirements

• Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or Temporary Resident with the right to work in Australia.
• Currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia and holding appropriate standing.
• Post-Graduate Year 4 (PGY4) or equivalent experience and qualifications in medicine.
• Demonstrated experience in General Practice Training or equivalent foundational medical training.
• Proven exposure to general medical terms and rotations across key specialties including General Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Rheumatology, and Immunology.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine, HDU, ICU, or Critical Care settings is highly relevant.
• Familiarity with surgical terms and procedures such as Upper GI, Colorectal, and General Surgery is advantageous.
• Capable of obtaining a provider number to facilitate pathology testing, without using MBS attendance item numbers for direct claiming.
• Must hold current, valid medical indemnity insurance that meets the required standards.
• Willingness to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week on a flexible, self-directed schedule.
• Ability to work remotely from home or from the Sydney office as needed.
• Compliance with all platform guidelines, policies, and training requirements without exception.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and high standards of clinical care.
