Compensation: $130,000 to $170,000 AUD fixed-term 12 months What you'll do Translate creative briefs into finished AI video stories from start to finish. Direct AI video shoots by mastering composition, lighting, motion, and pacing through prompts. Build a personal library of prompt techniques and workflows to elevate team standards. Identify and flag risks around realism, bias, representation, and copyright during production. Evaluate and select emerging AI video tools such as Higgsfield, Runway, and Kling. Feed structured feedback into quality governance to refine model outputs and processes. Track fast-moving AI video developments and integrate effective methods into workflows. Collaborate with specialists to ensure video outputs meet brand and safety standards. Requirements You bring deep visual storytelling craft in composition, pacing, colour, and lighting. You can manage an end-to-end production pipeline independently from brief to final video. You exercise strong creative judgment to determine when output is complete or needs revision. You raise risks early regarding copyright, bias, or representation in AI-generated content. Nice to have Experience creating social-first video for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Python, or prompt tooling. Skills & tools Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, CapCut, Veo, Pika, Sora. Directing the "shoot" through prompting rather than a camera, applying composition, lighting, colour, motion, and pacing to every piece. Building and maintaining your own library of prompt techniques, references, and workflows that raise the bar for AI-generated video and can be shared with the craft team. Working within the quality, safety, and brand standards set by the AI Photography & Videography Lead, and flagging risks around realism, representation, bias, or copyright as they arise. Giving structured, specific feedback on AI video tools and model outputs that feeds the team's quality governance and helps improve them. Staying across the fast-moving AI video landscape-including Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, Veo, Pika, and more-and bringing the best techniques back into Canva's workflows. You're probably a match if You bring deep visual storytelling craft-composition, lighting, colour, motion, and pacing-likely from art direction, creative direction, or content production. You are a hands-on, cross-platform creator with experience using generative AI video tools such as Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, CapCut, Veo, Pika, or Sora. You have strong prompt-engineering skills, a rapid iteration loop, and a portfolio that demonstrates both. You have delivered high volumes of creative content to tight deadlines without compromising quality, and you can independently manage an end-to-end production pipeline from a brief.
