What you'll do
- Drive the oversight of P&L forecasting, owning the annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and the generation of detailed monthly reports to track performance.
- Conduct deep dives into gross margins, meticulously defining customer acquisition cost and lifetime value by distinct customer segment to inform pricing and marketing strategies.
- Perform exhaustive analysis of the total addressable market, evaluating new product opportunities, potential partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions to ensure optimal capital deployment.
- Champion the implementation of AI-driven FP&A tools to automate variance analysis and rolling forecasts, shifting the team's focus from data collection to strategic questioning and insight generation.
- Lead the development and maintenance of financial models that project key business metrics, providing leadership with clear scenarios based on varying assumptions.
- Establish robust financial dashboards and key performance indicators to monitor the health of the business in real-time and enable rapid response to changes.
- Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to translate business objectives into financial plans and to assess the return on investment of major initiatives.
- Collaborate with the executive team to provide data-driven insights that support major strategic decisions regarding resource allocation and growth priorities.
- Own the documentation of core financial processes to ensure clarity, scalability, and compliance as the finance function matures.
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial best practices, mentoring junior team members and introducing methodologies that enhance the overall capability of the finance department.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, challenge existing processes, and align on the financial implications of strategic initiatives.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and market trends, translating this intelligence into financial implications and strategic recommendations for the leadership team.
- Ensure all financial analyses are grounded in reality, validating data sources and methodologies to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.

Requirements
- Bring 4-6 years of finance experience specifically within strategic finance, investment banking, or private equity roles to the table.
- Demonstrate proven experience in owning forecasting and analytical decision-making within a high-growth company environment.
- Show a strong ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives that are understandable to non-finance stakeholders.
- Exhibit proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, coupled with a comfort level using SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data independently.

- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field as a foundational requirement for the position.
