About the role
You will own the outbound strategy for entering new markets by developing a strategic plan that builds a robust top-of-funnel pipeline for the Account Executive team. In this capacity, you will directly impact expansion efforts following the Series D fundraise and help shape the go-to-market approach at a critical growth stage. You will craft targeted messaging for cold calls, emails, and meetings with physician organizations, MSOs, and PE-backed roll-ups across mid-market to large enterprise segments. This role requires you to generate and qualify leads through proactive prospecting and research to identify key decision-makers and target companies. You will partner closely with Account Executives to hand off highly qualified opportunities that translate into new business efficiently. Your insights will be instrumental in building and refining the sales playbook to establish best practices and scale efforts as the company grows. You will leverage modern sales tools and AI to optimize productivity, research, and messaging while staying informed on industry trends and competitor activities.

What you'll do
- Own the outbound strategy by developing and executing a plan to build a pipeline of new customers across various new markets.
- Craft targeted messaging for cold calls, emails, and meetings with physician organizations, MSOs, and PE-backed roll-ups ranging from mid-market to large enterprise.
- Generate and qualify leads using a mix of prospecting tools and independent research to identify and engage key decision-makers.
- Perform initial discovery and qualification to ensure opportunities meet criteria before advancing in the sales process.
- Optimize the sales playbook by contributing insights that help build best practices and scale current and future selling efforts.
- Partner with Account Executives to seamlessly hand off highly qualified leads that translate into closed business.
- Leverage Salesforce and sales automation tools to track, report on, and manage key sales metrics and pipeline priorities.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team through precise pipeline management.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs in new markets.
- Continuously educate yourself on Candid's products and value proposition to differentiate the company from competitors.
- Amplify your talent by engaging in an environment intensely focused on hiring top talent and developing it through accelerated career pathing.
- Contribute to shaping the expansion strategy while driving meaningful impact that propels Candid into new markets.
- Use data-driven approaches to prioritize opportunities and manage a high volume of prospects with strong follow-through.
- Represent Candid Health professionally in all outreach activities to build credibility and trust with target organizations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging, positioning, and sales enablement materials for maximum effectiveness.
Requirements
- You have up to 2 years of experience in metrics driven sales, outreach, and/or customer service environments with cross-selling or sales components.
- Experience as a BDR is a plus, but not required for this role.
- Exceptional recent graduates with relevant internship or sales experience are also encouraged to apply without exclusion.
- You are comfortable and confident making cold calls while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You possess a proactive and curious mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve personal and team sales performance.
- You thrive on solving complex problems and identifying new opportunities through creative and strategic thinking.

- You are willing to work in-person within New York City based on the expected schedule.
