What you'll do
- Develop and own the overall marketing strategy, including demand generation, pipeline development, brand positioning, product marketing, and external communications.
- Build and implement a demand engine that is repeatable and measurable, ensuring consistent generation and acceleration of sales pipeline.
- Lead efforts to establish marketing metrics, systems, and operational rhythms that enable predictable and scalable growth as the company expands.
- Recruit, hire, and develop a world-class marketing team, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to refine messaging and positioning, targeting a technical, high-consideration buyer, and ensuring marketing efforts support sales objectives.
- Craft compelling narratives that tell Campfire's story effectively, emphasizing its role in creating a new category of ERP for high-growth companies.
- Increase brand awareness and market visibility through strategic campaigns, thought leadership, and industry engagement.
- Drive initiatives to generate demand across multiple channels, including digital marketing, events, content marketing, and partnerships.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI and support growth targets.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing practices to keep Campfire at the forefront of the market.
- Partner with sales to develop account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and ensure alignment on target accounts and messaging.
- Support product launches and go-to-market strategies for new features or offerings.
- Lead efforts to develop marketing collateral, case studies, and content that resonate with target audiences.
- Foster a collaborative environment across teams to ensure marketing initiatives are integrated and aligned with overall company goals.
- Represent Campfire at industry events, conferences, and other external engagements to build relationships and promote the brand.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building and scaling demand at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, with a focus on demand generation, ABM, or integrated marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated success in driving pipeline and revenue growth within mid-market and lower-enterprise sales motions, with the ability to grow deal sizes as the company moves upmarket.
- Strong track record of recruiting, hiring, and developing marketing teams from scratch, attracting top-tier talent.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, moving quickly and adapting strategies as needed.
- A data-driven, metrics-oriented approach to marketing, with the ability to analyze performance and optimize campaigns.
- Creative storytelling skills and a strong instinct for brand positioning, capable of crafting compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely with sales, product, and executive teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience working with technical products and understanding complex value propositions.
- Familiarity with SaaS marketing channels, digital marketing tools, and CRM platforms.
