What You Will Do
You will manage the construction submittal process for assigned projects to ensure contract compliance and facilitate expedited reviews and approvals by all parties. You will ensure that project engineering activities adhere to company and contract requirements while supporting the overall construction schedule. You will provide technical support for all construction efforts. You will administer project engineering procedures and controlling documents. You will manage weekly coordination calls involving the home office, site teams, and A/E firms. You will respond to inquiries from the project site and procurement coordinators, researching issues and escalating them to appropriate parties as needed. You will assist and coordinate with the design coordinator on design issues or related matters as required. You will assist the design coordinator during the design development and IDR process with the owner as needed. You will assist in developing proposals and change orders related to contract changes with the owner, vendors, and subcontractors. You will communicate frequently with the owner and architect/engineering firms. You will lead administrative assistants and document control specialists. You will coordinate buy-out reports and bi-weekly meetings with the procurement group to ensure timely procurement and shipping of materials and equipment to meet the project schedule. You will verify all submittals for correctness, including product comparisons for substitutions, variances, and deviations. You will conduct weekly calls with the AE to coordinate and expedite submittals, RFDCs, and RFI responses. You will coordinate ROS (receive on site) dates with procurement, shipping/logistics, and the jobsite. You will assist in developing the project schedule, including proper cost loading, procurement, and submittal dates. You will coordinate all project close-out requirements, including as-builts, LEED documentation for certification, commissioning documentation, product warranty information, WOW, spare parts, and change orders. You will coordinate all design issues, RFDCs, RFIs, and similar items with the design/build coordinator to ensure proper clarification and compliance with contract requirements throughout construction.
Working Conditions
This role functions within a construction setting that requires travel. It is a full-time position. You must possess the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit. You must be able to withstand confined spaces and or extreme heights while negotiating tasks safely to yourself and others. You must adapt to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. You must understand construction documents and construction contracts. Excellent technical and management skills are required. Experience with government contracting is necessary. Strong client relations skills are mandatory. Excellent organizational skills are required. You must demonstrate a strong ability to use the Microsoft Office suite. You must be able to communicate and work effectively with multinational and multi-disciplined employees.
What You'll Do
You will orchestrate the intake of submittals and verify alignment with contract terms for each project. You will design coordination steps with architects while tracking RFDCs and RFIs to clear paths for construction. You will build weekly call agendas that unite home office, site teams, and engineering firms into a shared rhythm. You will review verification checks on product data and substitutions before materials proceed toward the site. You will coordinate shipping with procurement to lock ROS dates and confirm that buy-out reports meet milestones. You will partner with procurement and logistics to synchronize materials, equipment, and close-out documentation. You will guide administrative staff and document control specialists to maintain current as-builts and LEED packets. You will champion close-out tasks such as warranties, commissioning records, and spare parts for project completion.
What We Expect
You bring 3-5 years of experience focused on construction coordination and submittal control. You read and interpret construction documents while navigating government contracting requirements. You manage Microsoft Office tools to communicate clearly with global stakeholders. You travel to project sites and work in conditions that include climbing, confined spaces, and weather extremes.
Nice to Have
Government contracting experience is preferred.
